I did not realize that Marriott will give away your ******* booked room if a Bonvoy member wants it. We arrived and our room was gone. There was a huge event happening in the area that weekend so we were stuck accepting a smaller room as most hotels were fully booked. So we paid extra for a larger room which the hotel said is non-refundable. I will never stay at a Marriott property again.
The property is brand new so everything is modern and beautiful but the off-gassing of the new carpet, paint, etc. was awful. I couldn't sleep and felt sick from it. Obviously, this problem will resolve in a few months but buyer beware until then.
Notes: this hotel has expensive parking and is directly beside an electricity field (lots of towers, etc.) - 0 view. That didn't matter to us but it might to some people.
