這是這麼多年來住過條件最差的青年旅舍，除了店員態度和藹可親外，其它一無是處，我訂了總共四晚，住了二晚就撤了，實在不想多待了

The staff was very kind! It was busy and still felt very calm and relaxing. The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Super reasonable price. I never leave reviews. I really enjoyed my quick stay at Base Camp. Highly recommend. There’s a lot of crumby overpriced places to stay in Anchorage. I’m glad I chose the hostel.

Attractive building both inside and outside. Welcoming and world-wise staff. Low cab fare from airport. Decent places nearby to eat, drink and shop for groceries. Good atmosphere. Excellent instructions for making pancakes during the included breakfast. I would stay there again on a future visit to Anchorage.

Great place for solo travelers as this hosts people from all around the world. They have wonderful staff and volunteers. The location is great. You can try their traditional sauna too. If you are into hiking then do go on one with the host. It was one of the best experiences I had in Alaska.

Very clean, well organized. A wonderful hostel. I enjoyed staying here. Very full and busy during my stay. Would have liked a small shelf for phone, belongings near my bunk. Oatmeal and pancakes, coffee available for breakfast. Such interesting and kind people to meet.

What a find … last minute decision to get a room in Anchorage … came across this hostel that was available over Memorial Day weekend … about a 1.5 walking distance to downtown or you can easily bus it … walking distance to restaurants if you prepare not to cook emails … breakfast free … travelers were global, camping available outside if you wanted to camp out instead of in house. Owner is groovy earthy and was warm to welcome travelers. Staff very pleasant and accommodating

The home-like atmosphere at Basecamp hostel is an experience I have never encountered in all my 37 years of hostelling. It is by far Anchorage's finest and although the maximum stay is four nights, you will be tempted to come back again and again. All staff are friendly, helpful, and very professional. They also offer a sauna which is rare for any hostel. Be sure to leave a tip to express your appreciation. This was my fourth stay here.

Austin was very friendly & checked me in quickly & showed me around. Ole reserved a bottom bunk for me as promised. Restrooms & showers were clean & well stocked. HUGE backyard for campfires, tent camping, games & hanging out. On-site parking available. Wifi worked great. I'll def be staying here next time I'm in Anchorage

Great experience! Inexpensive compared to hotels. I needed a lower bunk (after arrival) and they were very accommodating. Pillows are a little flat for side sleepers. Free wifi! Coffee and breakfast are provided - kitchen to prepare meals yourself. Chickens in the backyard are an interesting novelty. Common areas encourage social interaction with other travelers. Friendly staff and guests 😃! Easy to get around with PeopleMover.org city bus (day pass $5 June 2023). Allowing us to store our luggage (free) after checkout meant we got to make the most of our last day. Highly recommend.
