Marriott Anchorage Downtown

From the moment I checked in with the welcoming young women greeting me at the front lobby desk to the last wave goodbye I received as I left to hop into the taxi called for me, I was impressed by both the warmth and professional demeanor of the staff at the Marriott Downtown Hotel in Anchorage. Shreya was particularly helpful in overseeing details such as calling the taxi, and she even connected me with the salon she uses for a last minute hair appointment when the salon I had an appointment with cancelled when the stylist called in sick. They were all great ambassadors who were ready with maps and directions to help me accomplish my to-do list. I enjoyed going to the cozy Great Room for several relaxed meals (delicious soups) after a long day of appointments and enjoyed the Cafe for breakfast - good food and friendly, polite staff. I knew this was hotel-home when I spotted my favorite Haagen-dazs coffee ice cream in the little lobby store freezer, and cocoa in the lobby after a chilly walk. It was the fresh, natural design of my room, though, that quickly won me over! The beautiful shades of blue, gray, and neutrals felt like the natural world brought inside. I love the designer’s vision and choices. The very comfortable bed with perfectly stuffed pillows to sink into, the upholstered lovely chaise well placed under the window with ocean view and twinkling night lights, and a clean minimalist bathroom with a beautiful glass shower, fresh-smelling products, and soft, yet bright enough, flattering lighting so you can see what you’re doing. I loved my room so much and plan to make this my hotel-home when I am in Anchorage. Jacalyn

Wonderful customer service All staff went out of the way to ensure we had the best birthday for our kids. Definitely will stay again. Room was clean and comfortable and and all staff were attentive to our needs. The pool was warm and clean and we were luck to have it to ourselves

Check in staff and valet were very helpful and friendly! In addition morning breakfast was really great! We were grateful the hallways were so quiet despite it being a busy event. I was here for a work related event but thought the treatment was far beyond corporate experience!

The Marriott Anchorage does an incredible job! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the exercise facility is well kept abd yo to date. The staff are amazing!! My check in was second to none. They were very helpful and helped me access my room 1 hour before check in. She communicated with her team and they readied everything to make this possible! I have been to many 4-5 star hotels, however the get in Anchorage Alaska has just taken first place in my book. It first starts on arrival before you’re even halfway in the door and they’re greeting you at the front desk they’re asking you if you have any special request for your room , maybe different pillows on your bed, more towels, or toothbrush incase you forgot yours. Everyone from the maid service to the front desk to the hostess at the restaurant we’re all top shelf.

Great service during breakfast hours in the concierge lounge from Renz.personally saw to making the experience a positive one fetching coffee, juice, etc. Went out of his way to make me feel at home. Renz is the best when it comes to service.
