The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and our 'Comfy' room, adequate. Our room flooded and we were given an upgrade. Frankly, our first room was better appointed and not such an odd shape. Breakfast was a let down. The choice was limited and not great quality as the cold meats, smoked salmon and viennoiserie were poor. They had a 'live' cooking section for eggs. Everything was overcooked and the space reeked of browning butter. However, the staff were lovely and the 24/7 bar was a welcome touch.

Upon arrival we were offered a glass of wine which was a nice touch. It’s not often you stay at a place that offers a complimentary bar. It has a great selection too. Of course you’re out and about exploring most of the time rather than sitting in the hotel but the bar area was a good place to relax. Our canal view room was a decent size but only one window which made it a little dark. We were expecting a bigger window .. with a better view. When leaving we asked was it better to Uber or taxi to central station. The lady at reception suggested the tram (or train?) but we had a lot of luggage. So she ordered a taxi for us which was costly at €27. Breakfast was good!

Amazing hotel, centrally located with very friendly staff. Loved their 24x7 open bar, wine and cheese trolley and great spread for breakfast with hot omelette station (all included in the price of the room). Close to all attractions, within 15 minutes walk to the museums, Red Light Area. Lots of restaurants outside the hotel. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was big compared to other hotels in Europe. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Manager at front desk was not accommodating at check in. Long story but no giving to fix the problem that was created by the front desk through no fault of ours. Rooms are very dark! Great location is it's only asset. They did have some fun food freebies in the lobby everyday.

Very nice staff. The lounge area during "happy hour" was pleasant as you met with other guests. Although we don't drink as much as we used to, the open bar concept allowed you to create your own cocktails, or have a glass of wine, which is what we opted for. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I would recommend staying here.

This hotel is fun, arty and very Dutch. We had a warm welcome, interesting room, very comfortable. Delicious breakfast, it was a joy to stay here. Everything has been thought about. In a great location for trams, we found them the best way to get astound the city. Would recommend highly.

The Banks Mansion is quaint, quirky, and fun! We loved this hotel. The staff was always cheerful, knowledgeable, and delightfully helpful! Especially Shafani! We thank her for answering all our questions and calling everyone to make sure we got to our tour on time! Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a nice size for my cousin and I to share. The decor is eclectic and perfect for the area. It is within walking distance to many of the main attractions. The breakfast was amazing! The afternoon cocktails/wine/beer and snacks were a welcomed addition after a long day out exploring! It was also very nice to meet the other guests and have them share their experiences while relaxing before a night out. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.
