Really complex to review this hotel. The room was good with everything we needed and staff who often seemed over-attentive. My wife has a disability and she uses a wheelchair, which she prefers I push, but there was always someone eager to help as there appear to be too many staff for the number of guests staying. This may change when a new build adds an additional 40+ rooms. The restaurant followed the same pattern, but it is often difficult to feel really comfortable in a virtually empty restaurant. On a positive note the Hotel had the best Wi-Fi of all the 8 different hotels we stayed in during our India holiday. The local economy is very different to our previous locations in Northern India (Golden Triangle) and most items are, by comparison, 1/3rd more expensive. In summary, very glad we came here and saw The Golden Temple at night and the following morning, together with the Partition Museum which was a salutary reminder of the complexities of previous British overseas rule. Also, highly recommend the Wagar Border Ceremony - such fun.
