Luxus pur inmitten einer phantastischen Landschaft. Ausgesprochen zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal. Wer zudem noch Sport machen möchte, findet im Gym alles was es für ein gutes Training braucht, mit Blick auf den See. Ein schön angelegter grosser Pool sorgt für Abkühlung. Sehr zu empfehlen .

Es gibt Sachen die sollte man einfach tun. Der Gal Oya Lake Club ist so eine Sache. Es war der komplette Aufenthalt ein Wohlbefinden, Erholung pur. Das Personal war zuvorkommend ohne Aufdringlich zu wirken. Der Lake Club ist in einem sehr gepflegten, luxuriösen Zustand. Bungalows sind sehr großzügig und stilsicher Eingerichtet. Luxuriös. Die Zelte haben etwas romantisches und trotzdem muss man auf keine Annehmlichkeiten verzichten. Zelt sogar mit A/C. Auch Sportlich kann man sich im wunderschönen Pool, sowie Gym-Raum betätigen. Weithin Kajak auf dem See. Beim Sonnenuntergang die Seele am Bootshaus baumeln lassen mit Glas Wein (Was will man mehr) Minuspunkte: Sorry mir ist nichts aufgefallen. Ach ja doch: Das man von den Bungalows oder von den Zelten aus, daß Personal besser verständigen kann, für einen Cocktail 😉 - und das der Aufenthalt zu Ende war. Viel Erfolg!

Eine der schönsten Anlage die ich in den letzten zwanzig Jahren besucht habe. Jedes Detail ist mit viel Liebe gemacht, die Zimmer sind grosszügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ein Traum, der Garten mit den zwei Pools laden ein den ganzen Tag zu verbringen. Die Ausflüge in die grössere Umgebung von professioneller Art und Führung gezeichnet. Also Fazit Preis und Leistung einmalig für Sri Lanka…

I stayed here in one of the bungalows, which was spacious , elegantly furnished and decorated. All three bungalows face the lake and are right next to one of the two pools. The whole site is amazingly beautiful and well taken care of. The owners, Thomas and Dinesh, made me feel heartily welcome and the staff was very attentive, polite and friendly. The place offers yoga mats and a newly opened outdoor gym to the guests. From there I watched a white pelican swimming across the lake during my workout. This remote spot is the perfect place to enjoy untouched nature and nourish your soul, absolutely recommendable. I will definitely come back on my next journey.

Der Gal Oya Lake Club ist definitif eine Empfehlung Wert. Es liegt ruhig gelegen an einem schönen See, nahe zum Gal Oya National Park. Sie bieten sehr schöne Safari Touren durch den Nationalpark an. Die Zimmer sind sehr luxeriös und durchdacht eingerichtet. Das Personal und die Manager sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Restaurant, welches über Seeblick verfügt, gibt es eine gute Auswahl an Lokalen und Internationalen Speissen. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet und dem wunsch des Gastes entsprechend angepasst. Die Gartenanlagen mit den zwei dazugehörigen Pools ist sehr sauber und Gepflegt. Für mich hat alles zusammen gepasst und ich komme gerne wieder.

Fabulous place. This is a tranquil, beautiful place to unwind. Off the beaten track but a gem of a find. We couldn’t fault the complex. Small amount of accommodation in various forms. We stayed in a safari tent over looking a large lake full of wildlife. Lovely pool. Kayaking on the lake if you like. Food excellent and service outstanding. Staff went out of their way to help us when we had a small problem. Happily recommend without any hesitation.

Alles war einfach nur perfekt in diesem Paradies mitten im grünen. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit und die Angestellten sehr aufmerksam und nett. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit wahnsinnig viel liebe und können gestaltet. Die Bungalows bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und die besten Kissen die wir hatten auf unserer zweiwöchigen Reise durch Sri Lanka. Das Essen ist sehr köstlich, mit einem wahnsinnig schönen Ausblick auf den See. Nirgends habe ich eine solche Ruhe verspürt und gehabt wie an diesem Ort. Sehr empfehlenswert.

What a fabulous place to stay. We were in a Glamping tent but what luxury. It was great. The restaurant was good and food excellent. The staff were soo friendly and helpful. We met the boss (Thomas) and were made so welcome. There are two outstanding swimming pools and def everything had a view of the lake. We loved it. The area was great for walking with lanes surrounding the property. We did think though that they should put an English choice on the menu for breakfast and also prices for the beer as no where to be seen. These are really small points as the stay was outstanding .

Gäste werden vom kompetenten Personal überaus freundlich begrüßt. Ein Willkommensdrink ist Standard. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll und luxuriös eingerichtet. AC und Ventilator freilich vorhanden. Geweckt wurden wir am Morgen von einem Vogelstimmenkonzert. Sämtliche Mahlzeiten werden frisch zubereitet, sind von ganz ausgezeichneter Qualität und köstlich gewürzt. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. An den beiden Pools laden Liegen zum Chillen ein. Für einen Ausflug auf den See stehen Kajaks zur Verfügung. Gegen Abend haben wir den Sonnenuntergang auf einem Pontonfloss von der Seemitte aus mit einem kühlen Drink genossen. Der Masseur ist ein Meister seines Faches und jeder Handgriff sitzt. Vom Resort aus hatten wir Gelegenheit auf kurzen Wegen eine Boots- und Elefantsafari zu erleben. Ausflüge zu Orten mit historischem Hintergrund runden das Freizeitangebot ab. Kurzum ein Ort an dem man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Wir kommen wieder .
