A very enjoyable one-night stay (en route eastwards, 70 mins drive from the ferry at Hoek van Holland). Plenty of staff around, at reception and elsewhere, some of whom not surprisingly not that clear on what they're supposed to be doing; more senior staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is a real labyrinth, taking us past the stunning chapel to get to our room, which was well-equipped and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the stylish restaurant: excellent food, good value on the half-pension basis, and a great breakfast too. Easy parking, and only 10 mins drive from the city centre.

The Leerhotel Het Klooser is an unusual hotel. The building is ugly, the inside is uninspiring and dated. All of which is perhaps not a surprise if monks used to live there. Next door is a conventional college along with a trainee catering college who work in the hotel. These trainee students make up a good percentage of the staff especially in relation to the catering. This is applaudable although they are a little dilatory at times. The main staff are excellent and very welcoming. The bar area wasn’t particularly functioning and the location of the hotel wasn’t nearly many places of interest. Especially if you are walking. Tips: In walking distance, if you want a nice bar and snacks then go through a nearby forest to the Fletcher Hotel. If you don’t want to lose 3 hours of your life in a drab environment, avoid the 4 course meal option.

Muv de kamer temperatuur die niet individueel te regelen viel een prima ervaring. Badkamer vloerverwarming onaangenaam hoog! Restaurant 4 gangen menu heerlijk. Fantastisch vriendelijke en verzorgde bediening. Hulde!

I spent 2 nights at this amazing hotel for a business conference. The hotel is a hospitality training college. All the people working there are the students and their tutors. The food and amazing fancy treats prepared by young people training to be chefs and was lovely. The rooms beautifully comfortable and contained everything you needed. The conference facilities were very good. It was all unique as it was formally a monastery.

Binnen de context van een leerhotel wordt hier een uitstekende prestatie geleverd. Van gastvrije ontvangst tot lekker diner met bijpassende wijn- en bierkaart (inclusief eigen bier) echt een goede ervaring. Hier kunnen “echte” zaken nog van leren. Compliment.
