I’m gonna keep it real: I don’t write tons of reviews and I don’t take pictures of stuff I don’t like. This time I’m making an exception so that other travelers don’t make the same mistake I did. This is not a “very nice” or even a “nice” hotel. And I’m not a snooty fancy-pants traveler either. I’m a dad in a family of 5 who’s used to staying at “3 star” hotels like Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, & Best Westerns, etc…definitely traveling on a budget. I don’t know if this hotel is indicative of all Quality Inns, but based on our experience, I won’t be booking at Quality Inns anymore. This felt like a motel not a hotel. Stuff I didn’t like but could shrug off, aka ‘warning signs’: 1. Hotel entrance had no automatic door (and no elevators) 2. Immediate musty smell in the hotel, the room was worse 3. Pool area looked absolutely nothing like the hotel-provided picture 4. Hallways were dark as hell 5. Furniture in the room was old & beat up 6. A few dead bugs in the room on the floor - not the deal-breaker kinds (like roaches or bedbugs) 7. Decorative top sheets on beds could have been cleaner Stuff I couldn’t shrug off: 1. Mold - the room was so damp and musty there was mold on the curtains (see pics) 2. Alterations - doorknobs and locks were changed out with zero care for how it looks (see pics). Now why are doorknobs and locks being changed out?! (Doorknob pic is for the bathroom, not the main entry door) Stuff that was good/fine: 1. Proximity to food/entertainment 2. Fridge and microwave worked We arrived late, went right to bed, left ASAP in the AM for Adventureland, came back late, went right to bed, got up and got the hell outta there. I said no to the pool and breakfast. It was a very busy weekend in the area and everything was booked solid - you don’t even want to know how much I paid for this s***hole. Here’s my advice for you 3-Star Dads: BOOK EARLY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE.
