Hotel Bellevue

This was my favourite stay in Switzerland. The room was quite basic, but super spacious. The staff were also very friendly and the view was 10 stars. The included dinner was a 4 course meal and exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was fine (just not as amazing as the dinner). There were alot of clouds and you couldn't see the towns below, but it didn't hinder the experience. My only complaint is that the gondola up to the hotel isn't included in your rate, and it is an additional expense. You do receive a small discount if you show your reservation, but it was still about 56CHF.

As we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a receptionist. She immediately spotted where we come from and started speaking in our mother tongue, which we appreciated very much. In a friendly yet professional manner she provided all the information that we needed. The next day we wanted some advice and again Frau Stanislava Repkova provided great customer service and helped us a lot! What an asset to the Pilatus team she is! Our stay was fantastic, food was delicious and views were breathing! We will be back!

We stayed here for one night with 2 teenagers. It was a magic experience from start to finish! Yes it's expensive but totally worth it for the view and watching the sunset a must do. Staff at reception were super helpful and waiting staff in restaurant very attentive too. Dinner was included in our package and was delicious.

Bad thing first - staying in this hotel is expensive but we found it totally worth it. We booked a package which included the room, the ride up and down the mountain (either cable car or cogwheel train and you can decide to go up one way and down the other way), an aperitif/appetizer/4 course meal at the Pilatus Kulm restaurant in the evening and breakfast. I'd recommend booking this package on their website as it seems you can save a lot of money that way. Parking is possible at the valley stations for only 5 CHF a day (in June 2022). The hotel facilities itself are decent but nothing spectacular in itself. The rooms are spacious, you have a comfy bed, a water kettle and tea/coffee but no other special amenities. But what you can get with your room is a spectacular view. I asked beforehand for a room with a view on Lucerne and the Vierwaldstättersee and we got exactly that. Absolutely loved the view. Another bonus is staff. The check-in at reception was one of the friendliest I ever encountered. We got offered an ice tea while the receptionist Julian explained all the amenities and options we had. He explained where we would get our meals and we even got a small map with sunset and sunrise times and where to best experience them. A big shout out to Julian for being such a great source of information and being so welcoming, we really enjoyed the interactions with him. Both the 4 course evening meal and the breakfast are served at the restaurant in the Pilatus Kulm hotel and the food, service and location (beautiful big room) were great. On the mountain you have wild capricorns which seem to avoid the tourist crowds during the day but they did show up in the early morning and you could experience them up close. It's fascinating to see the ease in which they are able to climb the mountain. Would definitely recommend staying here for the experience and hope to back again for a second time.
