Camping Lamego Douro Valley

Een top locatie om te staan met de mobilhome ,zeer rustig met een gezellige buitenbar en terras,super proper sanitair, dicht bij de prachtige kathedraal op loopafstand van de camping. En het belangerijkste de eigenaars zouden werkelijk ALLES doen om je het zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken ,twee top mensen , niets was hen te veel ,zeker een dikke 10/10 voor ons

We had a warm welcome by Clara & we could choose our own spot for the tent which are on different levels. You can't park next to your tent but we did have a lovely shady spot and the motorbikes were parked close by overlooking the tent. Motorbikes felt completely safe at all times. The camping spots dont have electric but you can use charging points around the reception. The toilets/showers were kept clean all day & there was no queueing.The outdoor bar area is open during the day and all evening. Main meals and Pizzas can be delivered to the site. Clara and her husband are so helpful and work incredibly hard, absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Somebody had a car problem while we were there, Clara got someone to look at it on a Sunday as well as liasing with the breakdown company in UK. Please ask Clara for any information for the surrounding areas, we got told off for not doing so & missed a lovely spot for a picnic by the river :) I would recommend Camping Lamego.

Camping atypique, ici pas de grand espace herbeux, vous vous sentirez plutôt invité sur la terrasse d'une demeure familiale de caractère. Bien entendu les sanitaires sont d'une propreté irréprochable. Ce qui rend ce camping inoubliable c'est l'extrême gentillesse et serviabilité des propriétaires, toujours disponibles pour aider, réserver etc ... Toujours un petit mot gentil, un conseil. Leur bar est super agréable, ils ont une jolie sélection de portos et vins, vous expliquent les différences, la provenance. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour et sommes partis le cœur gros comme si nous quittions des amis

Camping d'une propreté irréprochable, les propriétaires sont bienveillant et font tout pour rendre service Possibilité de commander des pizzas Accès pieton pour le centre du camping.g en passant par le sanctuaire Ha même le pain et les croissants sont livrés le matin top Je recommande +++++

Fabulous campsite offering all amenities for motorhomes and tents. Hard standing pitches for motorhomes and terraces for tents. We were lucky to have a corner plot that also had a patio alongside it. We were told it wasn’t for exclusive use but no one else ever came on to it. The owners are brilliant. Several languages spoken fluently. A bar on site and food that can be ordered that comes from a local restaurant. Also offer a taxi service into the lovely town and various other places. You can walk into town in about 15 mins but it is via 611 (I counted them) steps. The walk down is fine but beware the walk back in heat! We were helped to organise a trip on the Douro that involved a taxi trip, train journey and boat ride. And we had a dog with us. Nothing was too much trouble and my million questions on campsites further south for when we moved on were met with maps being produced and advice given - both on were and more importantly were not to go. The only downside (which isn’t really a downside) is that it is cash only. Worked out around €29 a night for 2 adults, a dog, motorhome and trailer and electricity. I would definitely come back if in this area again. Stayed 3 nights.
