Apartamentos El Palmeral de Madaria

Thanks to Carlos and the team for a great stay. Special thanks also to Mustafa who was super nice to our kids. This place is a great location - not too far from the city centre, just round the corner from Vista Hermosa for shopping, close to the beach and really close to the motorway if you want to visit Valencia, Murcia and other cities. The pool and grounds are really secure, ideal if you have kids and the underground parking was great to have. 👍🍹☀️

Un apartamento con todas las comodidades posibles y muy tranquilo. Muy detallistas y todo perfecto (cocina completa, baño, salón, habitación, terraza), tal cual las fotos. Te facilitan un plano con muchas indicaciones para comer, compras, etc. La verdad es que se puede repetir sin dudarlo.

We chose El Palmeral De Madaria having read the many positive reviews here, and much to our delight, found our experience to be the same as described. From the point of making the booking up to our return, we had contact and information from Carlos, who has been friendly and accessible throughout our stay, including being at the end of WhatsApp for support and advice, not just about the hotel and its facilities, but also about getting around, car rentals, local amenities, places to visit, etc. We were met on arrival by Pablo, who was equally a charming host, ensuring we were settled in well. The hotel/apartment is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and a short bus ride to the city (bus users will need to note that masks are required on the bus). We didn’t know but fortunately, Aldi, nearby, stocked these. There is also a Lidl and a small mall with an El Campo supermarket within walking distance. We also hired a car for some of our stay and there is free roadside parking just outside the hotel, although it is possible to pay and park in the hotel grounds. We had a fantastic week’s stay at El Palmeral. The facilities are smart, contemporary, clean, well maintained and you have everything you need. It feels like a hotel in the subtle ways you need it to be, but otherwise like an apartment/home where you have your privacy, and the flexibility to cook your own meals, wash your clothes etc. A perfect combination. There is much attention to detail and plenty of information available. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Alicante.

Just back from 5 nights at El Palmeral. I really do not want to write this review because I wish I could keep this place a secret. (Smile). The apartments are spotless. Large Bathroom with nice walk-in shower, plenty towels and even towels for the pool. Complete kitchen, with large fridge with freezer drawers, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a ceramic stove with oven. This enabled us to travel with hand luggage only and with the state of the airports nowadays it speeds up your travel time enormously. Swimming pool is very nice, clean and refreshing. The grounds are absolutely lovely, with the palm trees, the fish pound in the back is a very tranquil place to sit for some time. We enjoyed the roof terrace at night with a nice breeze and a large lounge where you could even watch tv on a big screen. The reception at the apartment was wonderful, Carlos sent us information via WhatsApp in advance about the nearest supermarkets, restaurants and how to get to the apartments. Much appreciated. Check out was a breeze, just remove your rubbish and leave the keys in the apartment. The big AlCampo City supermarket was our favourite, but the Aldi is also close by and in the large shopping centre you will find a carrefour as well. For us, all was at walking distance (over 50 and reasonably fit). On the way to the supermarkets you go uphill but back it is downhill only and this makes a big difference. We took the 23 bus (which stops at the Hotel Daniya) to Alicante and from there the tram to San Juan Playa. A taxi is also only 10 euro’s to San Juan, so if you are travelling with more than 3 persons this might be a better option. Yes, we did see some ladies of the night in the nearby streets, but we did not bother them and they did not bother us. The place is very secure, you need the key card to enter the grounds and at night the door to the apartment building is also closed. (entry with the key card) As in all Spanish apartment the double bed is 140/150 by 190. My husband is 2.02 meters and we slept well. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a true gem!

Los apartamentos estan muy bien amueblados con todo lo que necesita uno. Cocina, tostadora, lavadora, lavavajillas y con una terraza con vista linda. El palmeral muy lindo y el jardin con flores también. Un lugar acogedor donde se puede disfrutar de la tranquilidad y el buen ambiente. La piscina buena para los niños. El servicio bueno. Carlos atento a las preguntas que teniamos. El señor que cuida el jardin y limpia la piscina muy servicial y tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar con el dueño y su esposa y son personas muy agradables y serviciales. Una experiencia linda para repetir.
