Love the Brudenell Lovely hotel , lovely furnishings. Great breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Spent £450 for dinner bed and breakfast, however neither of us could sleep a wink as the room was registering 29 degrees with the window wide open and (useless) fan on. If you’re going in June /July /August, best of luck with that! Staff and food all good, but would not recommend unless you can sleep in a really hot room.

Room very acceptable. Clean and tidy and very good bathroom with all the goodies. Public areas getting tied and outside terrace in very poor condition.

Had toasted sandwiches. We shared a Welsh rarebit, which was fabulous, and a Porchetta one. Due, as it turned out, to our ignorance, we found the porchetta too fatty and couldn’t eat it. We said so, and the staff were SO gracious..instead of making us feel like the ignorant folk we were, they left it off the bill. We left feeling certain we would be back.

My wife & I have visited Aldeburgh many times, we normally stay in Thorpeness but from time to time we have walked into Aldeburgh & taken coffee at the hotel. The hotel is situated at one end of a long promenade & is easily accessible to the town. We decided to have a winter stay & booked an inland view room - to be honest primarily because of the prices. On arrival we were somewhat lucky to find a parking spot in the very small under cover car park. The website does warn about this & there are a few places in an outside car park otherwise its down to you to find a spot on the road around & about. The reception is welcoming & first appearance is of a nicely presented, nicely maintained small hotel. We were quickly checked in & handed our room key. The room, whilst small was nicely decorated & well maintained. It had a large window that you could actually open with a clear inland view over the roof tops to open countryside. Rather then take it in the room, we decided to have a cup of tea in the lounge & this was nicely served by friendly staff in the small lounge area - chargeable of course. There was a special dinner in the restaurant & we had previously decided to eat at a local restaurant. However, we thought we would have a drink in the bar before going out. A friendly waiter told us where we could sit & brought the drinks - its a pity that we were not offered a few nuts or crisps to accompany quite an expensive couple of drinks. We were warned about crowding at breakfast but we didn't experience this. We were shown to a window seat over looking the rolling, grey sea. There was plenty of cereals, juice & fruit on the buffet & a waitress took our order for the 'Suffolk Breakfast'. This was nicely served but the sausages & bacon were not freshly grilled & were bit dry. Otherwise a nice breakfast. Just a one night stay & overall very enjoyable, we will probably do it again

Made a booking over the phone & agreed a price for 3 rooms with Bed Breakfast & evening meal. Paid deposit only to receive an email with an extra £100 added to 2 of the rooms, so called hotel & Lucy admitted she had made a mistake but would speak to someone to see if she could offer a discount. But next thing all rooms CANCELLED. So please check this does not happen to you.
