Where do I start! Our large group made reservations at this hotel. When we arrived, we noticed what look like displaced members of society loitering around the property and parking lots making our group very uncomfortable. We checked in, and when we open our door, we were hit with the smell of urine that had baked in the sun. We walked in and saw cockroaches running across the walls. We went back to the front desk and turned in our keys. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic, but didn't think the owner would reverse the charges to our credit card.

It's been great because of the amazing price and studio setup. I’ve never before stayed in a motel with a full-size fridge and stove for cooking anything I want! It’s pretty unbelievable to get this for $40/night by booking online (for 7+ nights). But what also made this place great was Jessica at the front desk. She made me feel comfortable by addressing all of my needs and concerns, such as providing a spoon which I had forgotten, where to get coins for the self-serve laundry, and even making sure I got the best price on my bookings. Thank you, Jessica! I’m staying here because I am in Albuquerque looking for a job and possible apartment for longer-term living. But even if I stayed put at Studio 6, the price would actually be livable. There have been no insect friends in my room! A downside of being here, though, is that it’s close to a lot of cars passing by, which makes it trickier to go for a quiet, peaceful walk. My room also smelled musty when I got here; it feels like an older building. However, I got used to it and have been in good health while I’ve been here. I’m grateful to Studio 6 and it’s been a great way to make my entrance in New Mexico, which I hope may become my home.

Terrible, terrible place. The front desk was openly hostile. Initially I booked a week. Upon arrival a $100 dollar cash deposited was demanded in addition to a valid credit card. I was told if I do not like it, leave. No trash can. Broken chair. When I reported it to the front desk. I got the same hostility I got when I checked in the room was horrible. Leaking sink. Standing water in the bathroom. Mold and sliver fish in the shower. Only one pillow with lipstick stains.. Nothing can be done tonight. Report it tomorrow. All that was ever taken care of was getting an additional pillow and a trash can. The lipstick-stained pillow was not changed. A guy looked at the leak then left. It was never fixed. On day three there was still a water in the bathroom. I gave up and left. I had stayed three nights and had paid for seven. I got the equivalent of one day. When I questioned the amount of the refund. The answer was. That is what the computer says. It is impossible to tell you how bad this place is. We showed up for our reservation and were told that there was a $100 CASH deposit for potential damages. Why would any establishment want a stack of cash. How would it be returned? Would they check your room when you checked out? This seems like a scam. She said it was in the rules online, we couldn’t find it and went up the rod to Nativo. It’s nice.

I’m shocked they are in business with the attitude of the front desk staff. Rude is an over statement. We asked for a bottom floor room because we can’t take the stairs and the front desk says they are sold out so we went ahead and took the upstairs room. . At 7pm our building lights were not on. Building 1 and 3 has all lights. Our building is super dark (and remember I’m on the 2nd floor). I’m seriously afraid to go outside! I watched a drug deal in the parking lot. Called the front desk to ask about the lights, she says they will be on by 8. Asked to speak to a manager and she says I can come down tomorrow and talk to Jimmy. No last name as I can’t give it out, she says. Now, about my room. Cigarette burns in the furniture, what appears to be cat scratches on the ottoman, filth in the sink and unknown around the toilet. So disgusting. The floor is so dirty, I can’t go barefoot. I’m sad I paid for a week because they won’t give a Refund. Ad said kitchenette, but not one dish, cup or utensil. Two tiny pillows one towel one washcloth and the thinnest blanket on the bed. It’s 35 degrees outside and the heater doesn’t work. They should get no stars for this place.

We checked into this dump and upon arriving at our room, there was only one towel. We called the front desk and the Lady who was checking people in told us that the housekeeping staff had left but then she indicated that she would notify the housekeeper of the problem ... no one ever arrived. One towel for two days on a weekend ... not good ... Went to the front office on the second day and asked for towels ... we got 3 towels (large, medium, small) begrudgingly ... Attitude !!! Next problem ... we showered ... the shower was simply filthy with dirt and gunk around the edges of the tub and around the entire perimeter of the shower enclosure at the top ... there was no mat in the tub so we had to be extremely careful that we didn't slip and break something which would have been cause for a lawsuit against this motel. Next problem ... there were Cock Roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. This in and of itself it an extreme health hazard. I killed a couple of them but there were more behind the bottom cupboards in the kitchen. Next problem ... The ice tray had holes in it so that when filling it, the water ran out all over the freezer. Next problem: The bed sheets and pillowcases appeared to have been slept in without having been washed first. There was a foul odor about them to indicate this anomaly. Next problem: The floor was filthy and unsanitary. Good thing we brought our slippers. The cost for this dump was $358 for 2 nights. What a rip off !!! This report will be sent to the Better Business Bureau as well as any other entity that we can report, primarily for the health factors that this motel poses to its customers!!!

I can't say that I have any complaints at all. The staff and housekeepers were kind and polite. No complaints what so ever. Very pet friendly. Enjoyed my stay Planning on going back very soon. Thank you studio 6

Munching on some fine foods made in the in room kitchen. I have to say, there are not as many bad things here like the other reviews say. “Varela’s Stamp of Approval”. If your looking for a place with a low rate and great sleep you may just be booking that experience here. That’s what I’m saying is ours has been so far.

I booked thru *******, which is usually good. Arrived at 7p. They had cancelled my res @ 6. Room was filthy, grimy floor, stains on curtains, lamp shades. Lighting was at 60 watts in all lamps, bathroom fixtures encrusted with build up. smoke alarm torn off, no hangers (nor did they have any) Place looked like at flop house. complained to *******. Had to call police one night due to large argument where some one was saying they were going to kill someone else. Ended up being robbed.
