Luna Miramar Club

This hotel is a complete and utter dive. I don't have a single good thing to say about this hotel. This is less than a 1 star hotel. Every terrible review is as accurate and as terrible as I sounds. I would never have booked this hotel, only a set of ****** would book this hotel but unfortunately we had no choice about this hotel, it was booked for us, and without allowing it to be booked for us, our son would not have been able to participate in an event we were attending. We arrived outside the hotel and it looked horrible even from the outside, painted grey with a sign with some of the bulbs out saying NA MIRAMAR and 4 stars underneath. Onci in reception we were checked in by staff who really looked like they had drawn the short straw. Asked to hang fire 30 mins for our room to be ready. The reception itself want too bad and a video playing on loop showing all these beautiful rooms We went out to the pool area which was also horrible. The white of the sun beds and the tables were filthy, some of them so black they haven't been cleaned for years. Weeds and grass growing out between the block paving, bins that looked like they belong in a hospital, tiles missing from pool side, tiles lifted up in the pool with mould growing round them. Pool bar open but disgusting and expensive. Back into the hotel the halls were disgusting, old red tiles, grotty looking walls, like being in a hospital rather than a hotel. Picked up key from reception and headed to room (518). We walked in the room, one bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room area to sleep a family of 4. 1980s furniture, everything was well dated. A previous probably disgruntled customer had left a bogie on the horrible strip of green wallpaper in the bedroom. When we took a shower it was forcing air from the kitchen sink and stunk like a rotten food smelly fart. This wasn't even the worst of it, we killed 2 cockroaches and one got away. We heard another lady in the same predicament had to move rooms as she had her ankles bitten and swelled up. We thought it couldn't get any worse but then we went for breakfast. Suffice to say, I had the full breakfast on my first day which also turned out to be the last day. The food was not edible. Idodged breakfast most of the week and only had the baked cakes and doughnut if I really had to. Fortunately we spent all day at competition, afternoon on the beach, and evenings out in new town, old town or one of the many restaurants. Drinking enough on an evening helped me get over the creepy crawlies I knew I was sleeping with. If we did get back to the hotel earlier than desired then we would sit in reception with a few beers to prepare for a terrible night's sleep. I kid you not, I'd have dragged a mattress into the toilets in reception and slept there if I could. There wasn't even a bar open in the evening. Absolutely awful hotel! Avoid! Rooms were basic, o double beds other bedroom was a sofa and a pull out bed with the thinnest mattress! Balcony’s were dangerous with bits broken. Pool has no safety at all, broken tiles, mould in bottom of pool, no shallow end so dangerous for children. Outdoor furniture hald broken. No security lights when walking around hotel at night. Reception area is a trap as looks lovely but that is the only nice bit of hotel. No gym, no restaurant or bar, nowhere to sit and socialise. One pool table upstairs what is broken. Empty vending machine. Luckily had a supermarket right outside. The young girls on reception were nice but the hotel needs ripping down and rebuilding. My nephew split his eye open in reception and we was given a dirty towel, our friends had to go and get ice and stuff from supermarket to clean it! No accident record. Paid a lot of money to stay here and was hugely disappointed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here it was clean relaxing and in a convenient location ..Those are the positives...The negatives were the gym advertised was non existent no entertainment so had to venture outside..The pool bar was crazily expensive 9 euro for a beer whereas you can get it for 2 euros most places snacks were also expensive best just going to the intercontinente...And my biggest gripe was no tea towel or frying pan and a huge gap in our bed ...No cuddles all week...The hotel room was self catering so should have had those basic amenities. I'd stay again but come prepared fgs shouldnt have to bring a frying pan🤣

Definitely NOT 4 star...maybe 2 star. Reception beautiful....staff Definitely do not like their jobs...no interaction with guests. Rooms only ok....badly in need of tender loving care. Old fashioned, faulty lock on front door, no iron in closet, pillows dreadful, no bar, restaurant n quite a bit away from.main area. Cleaners did come in each day...no cleaning cloths, tea towels in kitchen...had to buy them in local supermarket. Small essential things missing!!!Get your act together Luna Marimar. WONT be back.

Worst hotel I've stayed at definitely not a 4 star i wouldn't even say 3 star. The bathrooms were covered in mould and dirt. Floors dirty on arrival, seats broke etc it was just a shambles. The electricity was not working on arrival after being fixed it buzzed day and night, keeping us awake. No bar open in evenings, but nothing on booking site to say this. The only nice area was the foyer the rest needs knocked down. Honestly I wouldn't return here it it was free. The staff were so rude there was no kettle in our room I asked 4 times for 1, to then be sent a coffee percolator. When I asked about the bar not being open I was told I should have read their website but even now 3 weeks later I don't see any mention of it being closed. The only positive thing was they had beautiful soft fluffy towels ( obviously new) ..pity the shower was so disgusting we didn't want to use it.

Hotel is okay, very basic. No restaurant, gym or entertainment this time of year, just some where to put your head at night. The rooms were clean and reception area was lovely but that was all the pros. We had to go to reception repeatedly over the 5 days for towels and toilet roll, which is ridiculous. Younger staff behind counter were pleasant enough but their English was not great, the manager “ana”? Is the most rudest unhelpful staff member I’ve ever encountered. So dismissive when you have a request or a question. Constantly gives dirty looks and speaks to you with a mouth full of food. The manager mainly lets this hotel down, well assuming manager as she is in a different uniform. They genuinely need to replace her!! She lets this hotel down a bucket full. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, can’t believe they still have that rating. AVOID AVOID AVOIDDDD
