In summary, this is an excellent compact luxury beach front resort especially for those wanting a tranquil, secluded holiday. There are only 32 villa's on the property all of a very similar size and specification. We stayed in the Al Naseem villa, which is the mid-range priced accomodation. These villa's don't have a view of the beach or sea but instead have a natural boundary of flowers and shrubbery that means you have complete privacy. All except the most expensive villa's (of which there are 6) are set quite a long way back from the sea across a white sandy beach. Bear in mind, the beach looks very picturesque with the light blue sea glistening behind it but to walk on it's very rough and rugged; remember that this whole resort sits on land that wasn't naturally occurring here. The villa's are beautiful appointed with a generous pool and surrounding gardens to each. As the weather here is hot and harsh the wooden outside decks and tent roofs are bleached from the sun so don't expect a completely polished and pristine finish, think of it as rustic luxury. It's the same inside, the bed is very soft and luxurious, but there are some slightly rougher edges. The shower is excellent you have a large head raindrop style shower and lovely soft towels, plenty of extra amenities too if you forgot something and left it at home. The Shore House is the only restaurant on the resort most of the time, because the smaller Beach Deck BBQ restaurant is only open occasionally. The breakfast is unlimited and very good, there is a buffet but the al a carte options are great, especially Shakshuka and Turkish eggs. Lunch is great, I would recommend the large shrimps from Oman. Dinner is good not excellent, for something more exciting you have to hope they run the Beach Deck and then you can order the seafood platter which is fantastic. Overall all the food and drink represents excellent value for money. There's a lot of building work taking place across resort and on Falcon island next to the golf course. You will be having an enormous new set of buildings being built in the distance on the new island opposite the resort. The noise and light pollution doesn't really cause any problems just worth considering that so much is being built here at the moment. The spa is good and relatively quiet so getting a booking is generally not a problem. The gym is very small you wouldn't want to use the weight room with another guest and the cardio room contains just 2 treadmills and a bike, I personally would have preferred a rowing machine and treadmill for variety. Overall this was an excellent holiday and we would certainly consider returning here.
