Family of 4, we flew from Leeds Bradford on the 16th of July and returned home on the 27th of July… booked with TUI and paid around 6K (1 free child’s place in that price). 11 night stay, in the middle building (B) with a somewhat half decent ish view which was from a standard room balcony on the 5th floor. Let me start by saying, I had ZERO expectations on this resort, I’ve been to Turkey before and had a very bad experience when I was a kid, as such vowed never to return, HOWEVER.. I’m glad I did, whilst this resort isn’t the best and certainly isn’t the worst, I feel it is good for the money I paid, I’ve stayed in better but this place did what i/we needed, and that was to relax as much as we could (with 2 kids anyway) for 11 days. We usually travel long haul however after going to Florida in April, my Mrs couldn’t deal with another long haul flight to my preferred destination which is Mexico. I reluctantly settled on this one for the Mrs, our daughter (3) and son (9). FOOD Firstly the a la carte restaurants is extra, we ate in the steak house which cost me another €115, it was nice.. was it worth the money when you’ve already paid £6K, probably not but it was a break from the Buffet, so I was happy to pay it. We couldn’t get into the Teppanyaki or Sushi restaurant because it was full but if I could have done then I would have done. The buffet food is quite nice to be fair, whilst it does get repetitive, it is nice. The salads are nice and fresh and there are plenty of things to choose from, that said i did get bored of it if it quite quickly. Service during our first week was good, last 4 days.. hit and miss, capacity has ramped up since the UK school holidays have started, and it shows at times. Buffet is chaos at times and drinks service is now hit and miss due to capacity, we sometimes struggled to find a table, unless you went right to the far end of the restaurant. Drinks.. EFES on draught or bottles, BECKS in bottles then your usual soft drinks etc, local spirts mainly and a cocktail menu. Anywhere outside, whatever time of day then do expect paper cups or thick plastic cups (a cold lager tastes so much better in a glass right?). Pool bars/restaurants serve drinks as above, pizza, burgers, chips and kebabs etc. Ice creams are nice. There is a nice coffee place (not Starbucks standard) but it’s nice. ROOMS Plenty of space, 3 beds (2 singles and a queen I think), TV never worked (no signal) during our stay but never bothered to report it as I wasn’t bothered to watch Turkish and a Russian TV. A minibar is stocked daily with soft drinks, water and EFES. Toiletries replenished and rooms cleaned daily if you switched on the light which can be seen from the hallway, the cleaners then clean the room, if you don’t do this then they won’t be cleaned. There was no iron/board (there should be, it’s apparently a 5 star resort), I knew this by reading the reviews beforehand so brought a steamer, you do the same otherwise
