Usually I don’t complain about hotel stays. I went with my son who was 14 which for a week was £3000. Iv stayed in this area before (royal holiday palace and Concorde) both hotels were 100% better and I was disappointed in my stay. Pros We enjoyed the water slides, only one slide not in use during our stay 20th- 27th July. Cobra slide is 🫣. Queues were short, didn’t have to wait long. I know there’s been complaints about younger children not being able to go on bigger slides but if you go to guest relations that can give a grey band to allow smaller children on. I likes the snack bar, especially the donner kebabs, lovely. We played few games of darts on the morning with activity guys, they were friendly. Rooms were big and no issues with air con. Cleaners didn’t really clean. They made the beds but we weren’t in the room much to make it dirty. Cons Unfortunately service in general was very poor. I’m not sure if this was because I was a single female with child. Not once was I offered a drink to me at Sun lounger or in the bar. Even in the 16 years plus restaurant once out of the week we actually got asked if we wanted a drink and the restaurant was quiet. No excuse to not ask us. Food, I get that we all get abit bored of the food after a few days but this was almost immediately, food wasn’t very nice. We did eat in the steak restaurant which was nice but we got rushed. Food was brought out before finishing g our last course. Drinks, non alcoholic for the kids were a hit however the cocktails weren’t very nice. Often made far too strong and we’re not consistent of the taste. Queues at the bars were very long. Sun loungers , haha. There were people who kept there’s on all day and night. I’m not one to fight for a sun lounger, and wasn’t getting up at daft o’clock. By 8:45 the sun loungers at main pool had all gone and the kids small pool and next to water slides were the only free ones. Even though sign states no towels on loungers before 9am. One of our LILO’s got stolen outside of the restaurant (everyone leaves then outside) this was the only day we did this and one was taken. How sad. We asked for equipment for tennis. We got given the rackets and said the activities team had the balls. After going up and down to reception no one had a tennis ball and game couldn’t be played. The table tennis rackets were also broken during our trip. Tips For the hotel, this place could be made great. Staff need more training in terms of hospitality in general. You make the rules, but don’t enforce them. Employ more staff to meet the demands of the visitors. Especially when people are spending alot of money for luxury and did not experience this. Visitors I feel the hotel is aimed more at younger children (under 10) rather than teenagers grand bazar is around 1.9 mile up road, we walked it, got some good bargains. Don’t do the aquarium haha, rubbish haha.
