Check in was fine at first, they took our passports away and asked us to wait in chairs, we were given glasses of orange juice. We got our passports back and room key and a quick outline of where things were (very confusing, just pointing in different directions) and went to the room. Our luggage was brought up and after looking around we found that the twin beds we had requested were a large double bed and the sea view we had paid extra for was non-existent. We went back down to reception where they argued that it was a side sea view (that would have been cheaper and as it turned out there was no view of the sea from the side either). They weren’t going to change our room until we also requested twin beds, so they relented and sent someone to split the beds apart in an alternative room which also had a sea view (not a good one as it was only on the first floor but we could definitely see the sea straight ahead through a gap in the trees). The man who came to sort out the beds was very friendly and helpful. In the end we liked the room which although being near the stairs and landing was noisy with groups of people stopping for a chat outside our door was very handy for popping back to get something. We had a view of the quieter pool which didn’t have noisy activities as well, and a garden with lovely flowers and lots of little birds singing. The bathroom was spacious, with a walk in shower. It had a regular shower and a rain shower but it was stuck on the regular shower. By using a lot of force my daughter got the button to go in to switch but she then had to change it back so she could shower without getting her hair wet, and we couldn’t move it again. There were tiny little rolls of toilet paper and so they kept running out. Luckily there was a spare and in the end the cleaners left another roll on the shelf but they didn’t do that till the day before we left. There was chaos with the towels. The first morning a woman came in to do the towels, we said we would be leaving shortly, but she just wanted the towels. She took away one hand towel which she did not replace. It culminated in the middle of the week with all the towels being taken away leaving u with no towels at all. My daughter used her pool towel. Pool towels have a weird system where you go to the concierge desk, get cards like room keys but with swimming pool towel printed on them and exchange them for towels at a little wooden hut next to the main swimming pool. I found a couple of women searching for towels later in the week and I was able to explain what they needed to do. The Iberostar app was supposed to be our guide but it had hardly any information on it. I got caught by one of the cleaners one morning when I was coming back with a refill of water (there’s a carafe in the room and you take it to a water dispenser at the end of the corridor) and she kept asking me about ‘yesterday’ which I didn’t understand. Then she told me there was a tablet outside the resta
