"I was very disappointed when we arrived to the hotel. The cost of the hotel does not match the value. The hotel rooms have mold around the window. The baseboards are extremely dirty and coming off of the wall. "

"The location of this hotel is prime. But this hotel is in severe need to be updated. It's overpriced. There's rust everywhere. The floor was so dirty that I had to wash my slippers before packing them away. I typically clean surfaces with bleach water, but this needed scrubbing. There was mold in the freezer drip tray. Sticky stains on the shelves. The tub was filled with water during my shower. I had to remove the plug and set it aside."

The Willcox

"Traveling northward we looked for a new stopping point and a nice property to visit and the Willcox looked to fit the bill. Driving in (and out) of Aiken, the town looks charming with a downtown asking to be explored. Unfortunately, weather and other conditions resulted in us arriving much later than anticipated and we called ahead to inquire of dining options upon arrival. Will post separately on the restaurant but very accommodating and really nice meal was had. I We checked in after dinner and headed to our 2nd floor room king premium room (Room 201). The room was clean, spacious, well appointed and had a working gas fireplace. The bathroom had a large, deep soak tub and separate shower. Housekeeping had included a pitcher of lemon infused water which was enjoyed. The bed was very comfortable. The following morning we enjoyed the dining room again, this time for the complimentary breakfast which provided menu of breakfast options as well as beverages. Enjoyable breakfast. Overall, quite pleased with our brief but very comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly and the facility quite nice l. We would certainly like to return and enjoy all that the Willcox offers and explore Aiken a bit. Nothing but good things experienced at the Willcox and would recommend to family and friends."
