Pictures Suites

My wife and myself - on this occasion accompanied by my brother and his partner - are, after a 15 month absence, again holidaying in Corfu. We have just spent the last fortnight at our favourite Hotel Pictures Suites in Agios Stefanos. It was our 4th visit and we were again greeted - and indeed treated throughout our stay - like family members. It is something to be both experienced and seen to be believed and it came as no surprise when a fellow guest - who had spent many years in the travel business - that this was one of the best properties she had ever stayed at!! What was particularly nice was to see all the ‘regulars’ again (Nea, Michaelis Christos & Suchu) as well as the new members of the team (Dora, George & Lisa) who not only all made us (including my brother and his partner) most welcome but helped us celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary! All in all, it was another lovely stay - with my brother and myself walking an average of 10 miles a day in the nearby hills - and one that we very much look forward to repeating next June for my Birthday!!

This was our second visit to Picture Suites, and we are so glad we came back. We had such an amazing welcome from all the staff - Nia, George, Dora and Lita who couldn’t do enough to ensure that we had the best stay possible. They were so welcoming and friendly, everything was just perfect. It was my birthday during our holiday and Nia surprised me with the most amazing cake, and sang happy birthday to me in Greek. It was just such a lovely gesture. The breakfasts are amazing - really delicious with a great variety to choose from, and sitting by the pool just felt so relaxing. A great way to start the day. The rooms are superbly located, just a few minutes walk down to the beach, where beds, towels and water are free for hotel guests. The beach is really lovely and the sea was perfect. We alternated between beach and pool most days. As the hotel has only 7 apartments, the pool never seems to get busy and is a calm oasis. The apartments are large, and very comfortable. We stayed in a senior suite on the ground floor, and found it to be extremely clean, and well cared for. The cleaning lady (Sofia?) was lovely, and our room always looked incredible. The village of Agios Stefanos is very beautiful, with an incredible choice of really good restaurants at reasonable prices, some on the beach, with the more traditional Greek restaurants in the village itself. I would definitely recommend Manthos, Zorbas and Cicala restaurants. We loved Picture Suites so much we are already planning a return trip. Thank you Nia and your lovely staff for making our stay so incredible - and for making it so hard to say goodbye. We will see you again soon xx

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war von Anfang an eine einzige Freude. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und jeder unserer Wünsche wurde prompt erfüllt. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, und der eigene Pool sowie der direkte Strandzugang machten jeden Tag zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Die Zimmer waren ein Traum – blitzsauber, modern eingerichtet und mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer. Das Team, das das Hotel familiengeführt betreibt, war durchgehend freundlich und zuvorkommend, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr persönlich und warm gestaltet hat. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit der frischen Meeresbrise oder auch im Komfort unseres Zimmers zu genießen, war jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Der Concierge-Service stand uns rund um die Uhr mit exzellenter Betreuung und wertvollen Tipps zur Verfügung. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Dora – sie war stets zur Stelle, wenn wir etwas brauchten, und hat mit ihrer liebenswerten Art unseren Urlaub bereichert. Wir können dieses Hotel nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und freuen uns jetzt schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Hier fühlt man sich nicht nur als Gast, sondern wie ein Teil der Familie.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pictures Suites. It is the most beautiful place, the views are spectacular and the rooms are so comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean, one of the best on the Island I’m sure, if not the best. They have everything you could need for your stay. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome from our lovely hosts, and I could immediately feel myself start to decompress! It is so relaxing here and I felt so at ease. Nia and her team also welcomed us with complimentary drinks, fruit and a bottle of wine, which was a lovely treat. We were blown away with our room and the spectacular views of Agios Stefanos beach and the Diapontia Islands. The sun sets magnificently over the islands every evening, not to be missed! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the special omelette is highly recommended. We did not eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast, lunches and snacks were perfect and reasonably priced for such a beautiful hotel. Bottled water, more than you could ever need, is provided complimentary by the hosts. The most special thing about Picture Suites is the staff. The host Nia and her team are beautiful people, so genuinely kind, friendly and warm. They went above and beyond to help us on a couple of occasions and I will never forget it. This makes all the difference. Agios Stefanos itself is a beautiful place. A little further away from most of the other more popular resorts and an hours drive from the airport. I would recommend that you rent a car if you can to get about and really explore the area, however you would need to be very confident with driving on the right and with narrow bendy roads. I was worried at first that my two teenagers would be bored as it’s a quiet resort, but they absolutely loved the chilled out atmosphere, the pool, beautiful beach and lovely restaurants. We also did a boat trip from the harbour and took a taxi to Corfu town to explore the beautiful sights there for the day. We would highly recommended our taxi driver Spiros, whom Nia could put you in touch with if you are staying in Pictures Suites, he showed us some gorgeous places on the way home from Corfu town and had excellent local knowledge. His prices were also more reasonable than the transfer company we used. We loved Pictures Suites, nothing could have been better and we cannot wait to return one day. Next time hopefully in the master suite! Which if you can book, then do. It is out of this world! A huge thank you to Nia, Dora, George, Litsa, Christos and the entire Pictures Suites family for a holiday to remember.

Kleines, familiäres Hotel mit sehr guter Betreuung. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Grosses Frühsrücksangebot mit frischen Produkten. Die Suiten werden ihrem Namen gerecht. Unsere (normale) hatte hatte 2 WC, zwei Lavabos, einen grossen Kühlschrank mit gratis Mineralwasser, das immer wieder aufgefüllt wurde, eine integrierte Küche, Wäscheständer und einen grossen Balkon mit Meersicht. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, durch eine Treppe gelangt man zum sehr flach abfallenden Sandstrand mit gratis Liegestühlen und Badetücher. Der hohe Preis wird all den grossen und kleinen Annehmlichkeiten absolut gerecht. Zum Abendessen gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants in der Nähe.

Non ci sono parole per descrivere la magia di questo posto, la gentilezza e la dedizione totale dello staff, la professionalità assoluta ma mai distante, l'attenzione e la cura degli ospiti che sembrano, appunto, ospiti, e non clienti, della famiglia che lo gestisce. Dal primo all'ultimo minuto ci si sente coccolati e messi a proprio agio con intuito e discrezione. Ci torneremo, sicuramente, e se non ci torneremo resterà per sempre un ricordo dolce e appagante di una settimana da sogno. Grazie! Roberto e Inna
