Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection

I stayed in the facility for 5 nights with my family and honestly, it couldn’t have been any better! Our room was located on top of the hill so we had an amazing view and a great pool for the kids to swim at. All of the restaurants were fantastic, amazing service and lovely food. Our favorite restaurant was Blend (we highly recommend the steaks!!) and Villebrequin. Me and my sister tried the spa therapies and I have to say - one of the best treatments we’ve ever had! All of the ladies at kids club were amazing, and the kids absolutely loved them. The haute living section was a great touch, we went there every evening to enjoy a glass of wine and all the snacks. Theres nothing bad I can say about this amazing resort, everyone there was super helpful!!

I just had the pleasure of spending 10 nights at the Domes of Elounda and could not be happier with our experience. The hotel in itself is beautiful, but the staff really go above and beyond to create an exceptional experience. We want to leave a special commendation to Dimitris, our dedicated concierge. Dimitris was very attentive, kind and with an incredible skill to really exceed any expectations we had. We had a small issue with the original room we were given, but very quickly Dimitris sorted it out for us. As a result, we only have positive things to mention. For example, the food in the hotel is delicious. We mostly ate at Tholos (the buffet restaurant), but we also tried all the other outlets and the food was always spot on. At Tholos we were welcomed every morning by the wonderful Yulia and the very friendly Georgia and Erofil. These are only a few of the superstars that work in this hotel. In the evenings, we need to mention the fantastic Georgios who always had a smile on. We celebrated a birthday at Makris and.. wow! The food is delicious and the presentation worthy of an Art Gallery. We also cannot forget to mention the charming and exquisite sommelier Anna and the restaurant manager Georgios as well as everyone else that helped making that evening so special (sorry we didn’t write down everyone’s name, but it was a brilliant team!) My absolute favorite member of staff was our kind, charming and thoughtful Majilinda who look after our room every evening, bringing fresh towels and chocolate and being absolutely wonderful. I also want to leave a mention to the super attentive and friendly Alexandros, the Rooms Division Manager and also Stella, for looking after us so well. I would also be remiss without mentioning Maria and Pavos from room service and all the members of staff who ran up and down the steps to bring us our orders. We also did some shopping at Core and Silia was so helpful and funny! Thank you for dealing with us on that evening!! And thank you Ellie from the front desk team for all your help!! I am sorry for all the amazing people I did not mention. You were all fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel for both a couple or family holiday. The location on Elounda Bay is fantastic. The beach is wonderful, with warm and calm sea, and the beautiful sound of cicadas. Thank you for having us.

If you pay $1000 a night for a hotel it should be top notch. The Domes has some positives but I am not sure they outweigh the negatives. Beware this is a family hotel with lots and I mean lots of kids running around. It’s almost an all inclusive. The Good The beach is great The beach restaurant is great Service at breakfast is great The kids pool and adult pool are great The grounds are beautiful The staff during the day is great The Negatives Very old and outdated rooms- I mean OLD! The bed is hard as a rock Sometimes the bathroom has a sewer smell and sometimes it doesn’t The bathroom is really showing it’s age. The air conditioner does not work great If you order a drink at the beach be prepared to wait 20-30 mins for it. There were 3 instances where we were served the wrong drinks The staff working at night is not great. We had an issue our first night there- we went to dinner -at 8pm and advised the front desk of 3 problems in the room. Not one of them were addressed when we returned. We went 12 hours with no toilet seat on the toilet. To be fair the day staff was lovely and felt horrible but this should not happen at five star hotel or at these prices. They bought us lunch at the beach restaurant for this issue. This is not a hotel for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues everything is on a hill.
