Elounda Solfez Villas

There are so many great things to say about our stay here. Pool was great and cleaned often. The cleaner comes regularly and will strip bed and will replace all towels, Beautiful views from the terrace and as long as you have a car you are fairly close too amenities. The only downside was the hill. It’s very steep and we found some of the hire vehicles refused to give us a car based on our location. Luckily we found one 1 day into our holiday otherwise we would have been a bit stuck!

Had the most amazing time. The villa is at the top of a very steep hill, but driving carefully in the car is absolutely fine. It was very peaceful and tranquil. Waking up to the views across the bay cannot be beaten & then a quick 5 minute drive into Elounda for breakfast. Taxis are very easy to get if you do not want to hire a car. Internet is very hit & miss, but made us switch off. A toaster in the villa would be a great addition! Housekeeping was every other day. As others have said, you do lose the sun about 3pm, but is an excuse to pop into town for a quick coffee or cocktail in the late after sunshine. Elounda & neighbouring areas are stunning and the people are very friendly. Recommend Babel in the harbour for breakfast, along with the Terrasse on the main road towards Agios Nikolai (5 mins away, opposite direction to Elounda). Megaro along the seafront was fantastic for dinner, the staff are so friendly and food top quality. Would deffo recommend for a relaxing break.

De villa's liggen rustig, ietwat afgelegen, op een steile helling maar op amper 10' met de wagen van Elounda. De villa zelf biedt alle comfort, airco in elke ruimte, ruim terras aan het infinity zwembad, infinity zwembad. 3 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Living en keuken zijn OK. TV's aanwezig in living en elke slaapkamer, het internet of wifi signaal laat het soms wat afweten. Keuken (fornuis) is ietwat gedateerd, net als de badkamer op -1 maar bieden allebei het benodigde comfort. House en pool cleaning gebeurt om de 2 dagen. Vriendelijk personeel, geen vraag is het management te veel.

Super two weeks in this villa - wonderful views and the pool was excellent - all the services were top notch and the villa itself was spotless - yes the road up is steep - but once you master it - its no bother - would recommend to all !

The villa is a small complex of 6 identical three bedroom units complete with small kitchen, living room, multiple decks, book, BBQ, and lounge chairs. The highlight is the view – just amazing really. You see the entire Elouda bay and town and in the distance at the far end of bay Spinalonga island (a must visit if you are into history). There are some challenges with the units – they are “stacked” configuration so you come in on the middle floor (where the carport is) and there is a steep winding staircase up to the top bedroom with queen bed, small bathroom and a nice sitting deck (which more amazing views). Back down to the middle floor you continue down another floor to two smaller bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. A slightly larger bathroom with tub is between the two bedrooms. Both room open up onto the pool deck where there is a large table and chairs. The finishing's are a fine, not luxurious but a bit dated. There is a tiny TV’s in the bedrooms and one larger TV in the living room. In the heat of the summer you will spend a lot of time in the pool. Each bedroom has a unit air conditioner. Key point on these villas – they are NOT walkable from anywhere. You must have a rental car to access them as the are several kilometers out of town up on the hill. it would be best to arrive the first time in the daylight as it is located off a small road with several fork before turning up is a very very steep long drive. The road is one way so make sure you look to see if there is a descending or arriving vehicle! Overall if you are looking for a place for up to six people, want to make some of your own food rather than eating at restaurants every day, and have a rental car (there is really only one parking spot per unit at the apartment but there are a few extra next to the first or last unit).
