Overall the hotel is lovely, very clean and great location on the beach. Short taxi ride to the main Marina Bay with a choice of restaurants and boat trips to book. Lots of food choice in the restaurants and always something to enjoy, can be limited food left the later you arrive. Something to note, restaurants don’t open until 7:30pm. Ismael at the towel stand was so lovely and cheerful, he really made our day. All restaurant staff and maids were very friendly and polite. Mostafa who was the porter attended to our luggage was brilliant, very welcoming. Unfortunately the reception staff were SO unorganised and SO rude this was a real downfall for us. They had no information readily available upon check in regarding the various different facilities, restaurants or opening times, no WiFi information, no pool towel process. They don’t know how to greet people and they certainly don’t operate a queuing system - if you’re English you come last regardless. Be prepared to wait ages (not even during peak times) as they only have one card machine, everything is done via paper which is very time consuming and only certain staff can process certain things meaning you are sent from one queue to the next. Also, they’re on their phones a lot of the time or stood chatting amongst themselves. Reception staff require a lot more training and hotel needs to provide guests with more information upon check in.
