Caribbean Village Agador - All Inclusive arvostelua

We have been staying at all inclusive hotels since 1997 and baring Tunisia in 1998 this is easily the worst. However, it was cheap and clearly you get what you pay for. We stayed for 4 night, arrived late for the first night so one less to bear. Had we booked for longer I would have left and re-booked another hotel. It wasn't all disastrous but it wasn't to minimum standards either. I've no idea how anyone could review this as 5 or even 4 star, it must be the entertainment, certainly can't be the place, food or drinks on offer. Room was very dated but seemed clean and was adequate. Following the first 2 days I was starting with a sore throat and flu and inspected the air con as that seemed to be causing coughing, when I turned it off it reduced my coughing. When I inspected the unit it was filthy with dust and grime and looked a health hazard, certainly didn't look like it have been cleaned or serviced for months and months. Restaurant was filthy, tables felt grimy and chair backs were rusty, dusty and grimy too. Much of the crockery was chipped and glasses and cups very scarce, thin white flimsy plastic cups was the norm for all drinks, even wine which we didn't have. It was from plastic bottles and wasn't good. There were fresh fried eggs , omelette, fresh bread and fresh salad which is basically what we ate for the 3 days. Occasionally there was other things such as chicken wings and there was freshly made pizza, which was nice too. Everything else was 'hit and miss' but mostly miss, even the pasta available every night was overcooked to mush and then went a bit cold and stagnant. Pool bar and pool area was fine, no issues and the plastic beakers were expected by the pool and were much better than the plastic cups in the restaurant. Bars were not stocked at all, no international brands and only about 6 locally produced spirits with bottles.of local beer poured in to half filled beakers. But as we were by the pool that was fine. The main bar in reception was the same, not stocked and plastic beakers, I'd expect glasses here at least, but none to be seen. The best bit was the animation team who were all very good and really made the effort to involve everyone. It wasn't really to my taste but it was a good atmosphere seeing others clearly having a great time. The only note here is that it's very loun until midnight and is very loud in the rooms, but come midnight they shutdown. We heard several stories of things being stolen from room by other guests (apparently) money, phones etc. Several drunken arguments in the early hours too, even in the short time we was there. All in all we still had a nice break mainly thanks to the very hot weather, pool area and relaxing sun beds. We did eat everyday too but it was very basic. The photos must be old as the place is very rundown and basically dilapidated, it needs a hefty budget to refurbish this to get it to a 3 star and needs new furniture throughout, better quality food and beverages.
