Unfortunately the reviews are correct. Room was damp and had a bad odour. Kept the majority of clothes locked in suitcase as those out felt damp. Small dull light in bathroom no where near the shower so dark showers! Sounded like there was a nightclub underneath us, very loud and went on until early hours! Food wasn’t great. If I’d taken my daughter she would have struggled with options. Undercooked omelettes are always an option! Queue for bar was ridiculous. Seemed like it was more if your face fitted, you got served. WiFi is pointless. Only 1 or 2 areas it worked certainly not in rooms. The plus point is the beach. It’s beautiful and the hotel has its own area there (no bar there though). The surrounding area is also lovely. Being honest, if I’d been with my family I would have left. The fact it was just myself and a friend for only 4 nights I stuck at it.

On arrival we were greeted by rude staff at reception who didn’t acknowledge us when we had arrived, chatting amongst themselves and didn’t even tell us where our room was. The whole place just seemed run down, rooms were basic and we discovered ants in our room. Getting drinks was a nightmare there was no queue system and no one knew who was next. On a couple nights they had run out of most spirits and didn’t even bother to grab more from there storage. Food was very nice, but as the week went on there seemed to be less option, again queuing for food was bad, as soon as you’d gotten one thing and waiting for another the food went cold. You can choose where to sit but you have to wait for your cutlery to be given to you, sometimes we had to go up and ask as they were too busy chatting with each other. We spent most of the days down by the beach on the hotel sunbeds as it was less busy and more relaxing. On one occasion we were at the bar in the lobby where we were next in the queue but the bar man wandered off to chat to someone else whilst in the middle of making our drinks. Then when we returned for another drink he started getting funny at us for not bringing our cups back to the bar, even though we had already brought up cups previously, he started moaning to us about how he hadn’t had a cigarette break, even though the bar is in a smoking area. He was then in a funny mood us and others for the rest of the evening. Entertainment we found was more for children and for adults they just played a random playlist. Advertised a safe in the room but when we got in our room it was locked with no key, we asked reception and their reply was “we don’t have keys” so nowhere safe for passports etc… very thin walls between rooms can hear doors banging, stuff being dropped upstairs but sounds like it’s in your room and cleaners started far too early waking us up at 7am moving beds and chairs.
