Stamos Hotel

Great location to town. The room we had was a family room and the presentation was pretty good having stayed in some more basic rooms in the past when visiting Greece. High quality shower with warm water and pressure. The kitchen area was a bonus with enough equipment to enjoy a cold lunch or snack if required. The beds are very comfortable and it is great to have a separate bedroom for our children to share. Fantastic maid service with them attending daily and the bedding and towels were changed every 2days which felt a little too often to be honest however not a complaint. Great choice at breakfast and the staff are wonderful cannot help enough. Lovely clean pool- however there are NOT enough loungers around it in the shade more sun umbrellas are needed especially when people who have been visiting the hotel for the past 13years seem to believe that they own them and place their towels out at the crack of dawn and then proceed to stay in their rooms for 3hours before using them!! The hotel has a snack bar at lunch times and we often had pizza/ toasties - these are not on the menu however after seeing someone else order this it was a big hit. Afytos is busy in high season with lots of shops and restaurants we did not struggle to eat out though with ate earlier than some.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for the town and the beach. The pool is lovely and warm. Breakfast was fresh and the staff were lovely. Having visited here 2 years ago, the cleaniness of the hotel needs improving. Around the pool and sunbeds wasn't cleaned in 2 weeks we were there, there is dirt all around the pool grill edge. The cleaniness of the rooms and bathroom was poor, floors dirty, cobwebs around, balcony floor dirty. Towels need changing more often we had our towels for the last 5 days. The bar was good but ran out of stock quickly and was not replenished. The snacks started at 11.30 and finished at 3pm which was not long when you have children with you. It would be good if more sunbeds were available for all the guests to use. I hope my comments are addressed and then would look forward to returning in the future.

A bit late with my review , but my partner & I stayed in this beautiful little hotel in June . Small compact and amazing with 18 rooms , spotlessly clean and lovely staff . We had an amazing large balcony with very comfortable basket chairs and cushions overlooking the best pool I have ever been in ! This is the only pool I have EVER been able to just walk down the steps and straight into the water 😃 it’s like walking into a warm bath 😃 The amount of return guests attests to how good this hotel is, just a few minutes walk to the start of a stunning village . I highly recommend this hotel

This was my second visit to this fantastic hotel in this fantastic location, but this year I brought some of my family. Everyone loved it as much as me & we will be back for sure. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast was perfect, the staff are always very pleasant & you have everything on your doorstep but it still feels so peaceful. The large outside table is a great new addition, perfect for our big group & we loved the bar, great selection of drinks & very well priced. Thanks again to Stamos Hotel, I look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed here for two weeks in july. Stamos is a lovely hotel in a good location. Rooms - one bedroom apartment, nice decor, comfy beds and the air con was brilliant ( also included in the price). Cleaned every day, towels and bedding changed twice a week Staff- friendly and knowledgeable. Location- Afitos is a lovely old town, make sure you visit Bouka restaurant as we found this to be the best. Local beach’s are quite expensive, but 15 mins to Silvida, which is a beautiful beach, lovely restaurants and cheaper. Make sure to bring your mosquito sprays ( obviously not the hotels fault) All in all a fabulous stay and would recommend Stamos :-)

We stayed in June. The rooms are clean. Not very big but overall enough space for the 2 of us. Towels and bedding changed on a regular basis. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice, please don't come to Greece and expect a full English. Staff in he hotel friendly and accommodating. We didn't spend anytime around the pool as we prefer the beach. We had a couple of dips . The pool and sunbeds needed some TLC. Bar reasonably priced: location perfect for walking into the village on an evening. Be warned it is a walk down a hill to the beach, going down is fine, coming up more of a struggle. Would recommend and I would return.
