We hadn’t been to Tenerife for 8 years so we looked at several hotel options. We always preferred the La Caleta end of Costa Adeje, so we picked HSVM... I’m so glad we did! LOCATION: 4 ½ /5: We enjoy walking & we had plenty of options here in the La Caleta / golf course / Costa Adeje areas. It’s a very easy 10 minute walk downhill from the hotel to La Caleta, slightly tougher uphill 15 mins on the way back! Tho there are always taxis kicking about down in La Caleta, or outside the H10 hotel if you don’t fancy the uphill walk back! There’s a wee mini market on site, a Spar in La Caleta, & a bigger Hyper Dino supermarket close to the H10/Tivoli hotels. The up-side of being up a hill is that the views from the hotel terraces are IMMENSE, just stunning! From mountains to sea... beautiful! FACILITIES: 4 ½ /5: Very nice! The hotel has really well-kept grounds, and two lovely pools / sun-bathing areas. There are plenty of sun-beds & beach towels. There’s also a spa, gym, squash court & bars. Oh, and a free shuttle bus a couple of times a day into Costa Adeje & back. SERVICE: 5/5: On arrival, our check-in was welcoming and easy. The reception & concierge staff were all so lovely & friendly. Special shout out to Yanis, Arianna & Tais. I’d been in touch with Reception before our arrival to organise golf & a couple of surprises for my husband’s birthday while we were there. They couldn’t have been more helpful, both prior to & during our stay! VILLAS: 5/5: Really lovely. Our 1-bed villa was contemporary & exceptionally spacious, freshly decorated, clean, with AC, large TVs in the lounge & bedroom, plenty of wardrobe space, well equipped kitchen & 2 bathrooms! Our terrace was fabulous, with 2 sun loungers for a spot of sheltered sun-bathing, and an additional seating area for al fresco drinks/dining. BREAKFAST RESTAURANT: 4 ½ /5: Breakfast is buffet style – a lovely choice of fresh fruit, smoked salmon, cereals, fabulous fresh breads, pastries, cheese, cold meats, fresh pancakes, sparkling wine etc. There were also hot servers with a good variety of cooked breakfast items, and a chef who will cook fresh omelettes for you. DINNER RESTAURANT: 4 /5: We ate at the hotel’s Italian restaurant 1 night. We felt they were a bit stretched for staff that evening... it took a wee while to be acknowledged. However, once seated, the food and service was a notch up, very enjoyable. (We can also recommend Tapitas La Caleta, Genghis Khan & our favourite Restaurant 88 in the area.) SUMMARY: Lots of fab features to the hotel, & the staff were 1st class, would undoubtedly revisit!
