Firstly, can I say I have no qualms about Harbour Club as a place to holiday in Los Gigantes. It’s a lovely, clean, well equipped and maintained set of apartments. We stayed in Harbour Club Two. They’re divided into two sets: Harbour Club One and Two. One is situated around the reception, swimming pool and bar. Harbour Club Two is situated across the road. Drop off and return transfers are made at a bus stop approximately one hundred yards from reception. However, Harbour Club Two is accessed either by a quite steep road just across from the reception. Or, by climbing just over one hundred steep steps! (The resort info we read claims it is seventy) The steps are located a five to ten minute walk away from the reception further down the main road. This makes popping down to the pool a bit of a trek, having to navigate either the steps or the steep, winding road. Bearing in mind a lot of people have issues with their knees in later years, whether you’re in Harbour Club One or Two can make a big difference to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Both receptionists I spoke to were very helpful. Also, the cleaning staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough either. Linen, towels, etc. were changed half way through our stay. Air conditioning would have been a great addition in September as the fans in the apartment we stayed in didn’t generate enough cool air during the hot Canarian nights.
