Three for a Friday lunch. It was not particularly busy. Premises: Incredible makeover from the previous place. It's almost unrecognisable inside now. Very beautiful. Food: The North Atlantic Cod was *incredibly* salty, no idea why. The skin wasn't crisp. Wilted greens with knife and fork in a high sided bowl also made it hard to eat. And NO carbs serves with it at all. I know there were sides, but you'd expect it to be served with something. The roast chicken, bacon and leek pie was excellent but again, no carbs beyond the pastry. Both very odd for mains coming in around £25 a plate. They should either (a) serve some carbs on the plate or (b) advise that it comes without and that the customer should order a side if required. The lemon posset was excellent. The service was good enough, but one of the staff seemed to be strangely unfamiliar with the menu, which seemed very peculiar. The price was on the high side of acceptable. Three mains without sides, two desserts and two coffees without wine at £100 seems excessive. 10% service charge included.
