5/5 Lovely hotel and very friendly welcoming team of staff. Room was Very clean with kettle and tea/coffee provided. Lovely shower and bathroom. Room a small and cosy but not really a problem. Large car park that also offers charging points if you need them. We didn’t use charging bays so no idea of cost etc. Had an evening meal both nights and food was very good and reasonably priced with a good selection on offer. Abergavenny town around 10 minute drive and walking probably 15-20 minutes. Overall, very nice stay.

Just spent 3 nights at the Lamb and Flag and found it to be excellent value for money, with clean and comfortable accommodation. We had dinner whilst staying, which was good value and also made the most of the breakfast, which really hit the spot. Would also would like to thank Lisa, Alex and their team for a friendly and welcoming service. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We had pre booked and chose our seats. We ordered our drinks which arrived promptly. We both had the spicy cauliflower starter,which was delicious. My husband had the vegetarian chilli. It was full of vegetables and he said it was delicious. I had the sirloin steak and it was perfectly cooked to medium. The chips ,mushrooms and sauce was delicious. Congratulations to Ben the chef and our server Shanade for making our visit very special.

Stayed here last night to attend a wedding party locally. The welcome was friendly and inviting and it was busy with afternoon dining. Our room (number2) was very nicely appointed with a comfortable double bed and a nice power shower in the bathroom. It was very clean throughout the property and loads of diners there for lunch. The food was excellent and served swiftly, and the breakfast this morning was exceptional with a lovely bowl of fresh fruit to accompany our porridge and youghurt to begin , and a lovely full welsh breakfast to follow. There was ample free parking and also 3 electric vehicle charging ports and a nice little childrens play area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, that we wished we had booked 2 nights! Well done ~# team Lamb & Flag

Went several times during our stay in Abergavenny. Staff were lovely. Such a nice, welcoming and warm environment. Great value. Highlight was definitely Quiz night on Thursday - Christmas special, run by the talented Quiz Master Elaine. A lot of fun and great prizes. Definitely recommend checking out future quizzes on a Thursday evening. Merry Christmas.

Had the festive meal and it was lovely. The vegan option was very tasty. The puddings were the star of the show. The service was very good too. Merry Christmas to you all and see you in the new year.

We’ve been visiting this pub for a number of years and it has always been great. After a couple of questionable visits earlier this year, we feared it had gone downhill. It’s now been taken over by a new Manager in the last few weeks and she is lovely. We had a lovely evening there last night and food and drink was back up to standard. Steak was cooked perfectly and the Reverend James beer was fabulous! All our meals were cooked well and didn’t have to wait long at all. The staff were all extremely friendly and chatty. Back to how it once was. Keep up the good work guys!

Booked for 3 nights, left after the first night. Only one way to describe the food, pathetic. I ordered the chiken tika masala, chicken was tough, the sauce was gloopy. tasteless. Room was small, hit my head three times off the FV screwed to the wall, could do with a deep clean Breakfast is only available from 8.30, apparently this is when the chef comes in, who are they kidding it was never a chef who made the chicken tika. A souless place.

Nothing bad to say. 5* experience. The staff were amazing! Amazing shout out to Alison who was incredible! Very clean and comfortable room (room 3 for the 20th - 22nd September). All you need for a lovely stay. Food in the restaurant was out of this world!! Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner - delicious. Thankyou so much for a lush stay, and we will 100% see you soon xx
