I arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

Olemme perheenä 4 huoneet olivat eristettävästi puhtaita, vuoteet olivat kauniita ja hyvin antelias koko, paikallisen maidon kauniissa lasipulloissa yhdistää paikallisen maaseutuyhteisön oli suuri kosketus.Kaikki laitteet olivat uusia ja hiljaa, Joten me kaikki nukuimme hyvin. Palvelu oli toinen toiselle. Rod ja Glenys olivat hämmästyttävät isännät, jotka menivät ylä- ja kautta varmistaa, että meillä oli paras oleskelu. Meillä oli autoongelmia, ja he avasivat autotalli ja aikaa auttaa meitä palaamaan tielle ikuisesti kiitollinen.Todella kaunis huolehtivat ihmiset. Palaamme pian ja olemme kertoneet kaikille ystävillemme ja perheellemme uudesta suosikkimotellistamme.

We really enjoyed staying here the service was amazing . The room was clean we stayed on the top floor the view was perfection. Thank you so much we will be back

Great place for a family stay. We have stayed every timr we visited Taupo and it has always been good. Place had some work taking place but nothing affected our stay.

Very clean and has everything you need. Even has heater in the toilet and the bathtub comes with jacuzzi. Convenient parking on site. Has a balcony. Check in and check out was very quick. Location wise needs 10 min drive to town for food and 5 min drive to the lake! Can walk if you’re adventurous and weather permits. Would come back again!

An older complex recently taken over new owners, and in the process of upgrading, with more to do to reach the standard travellers expect these days!

A tiny motel, has basic amenities. Didn't know there's a communal kitchen until we were leaving. It's a good stop over point, but most of the town closes either early or has long weekends, so make sure you have supplies beforehand. When we arrived there there was no reception, had a number and person to ring, the entrance is a bit tricky ”around the back”...yep that's exactly what it is.

Decent, clean, basic room. But the kitchen is very convenient. The bathroom was a slippery hell scape though. As soon as you turn on the shower and the floor got wet everything was insanely slippery.
