My stay at Clock Inn Colombo was a great experience and perfect for backpackers and budget travelers. The hostel is located in a convenient area, close to public transport, restaurants, and main attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with lockers provided for safety. The common areas were cozy and a good place to meet other travelers. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to share travel tips. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making me feel at home. Having booked the wrong Clock Inn hotel - I ended up at Dehiwala rather than Colombo. The place was clean, the staff were attentive and the breakfast good. The room was surprising large especially the bathroom. It provided a good night's sleep. If you want to stay in Dehiwala (and I didn't), the this is a good choice of budget accommodation.

My stay here got off to a rocky start after I found out the parcel I had shipped to here (which I had told the staff multiple times about beforehand) wasn't accepted by them and instead they turned it away. My reaction to that was rude, and I apologize. The package was retrieved in the end and even if it hadn't been there's no excuse. Sorry for behaving like a Karen. The hotel was nice (I stayed in a private room with private bathroom). Only negative thing is the location is surprisingly isolated after hours. No bars anywhere nearby as far as I could tell. Even had trouble finding Diet Coke (my drink of choice unfortunately) which is unpopular in Sri Lanka, but not ”you have to get on a tuktuk for 5 minutes to find it”-rare in most cases

The room is clean with refurnished toilet. There could be a proper blanket instead of a cover sheet though its not cold. The hotel has a WhatsApp channel for fast and easy communication
