This is a big hotel in a good location ( walking distance to the ancient town) with spacious room , clean and comfortable beds. However, there are no fridge, nor save box in the room; kettle, tea, coffee provided. Love breakfast with a variety of choice, both western and Asian styles, especially the dinner buffet (158 yuan) is amazing; well done chefs! We love a lot of things about this hotel apart from the “shower tickets”; this should be clarified in the hotel’s policy that this ticket is just a discount coupon for using Spa. We thought this is for swimming pool. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel and lucky to visit the Buddha caves and the flying temple in one day. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller in Datong.

Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

過年來太原玩，入住了樟禾酒店，位置服務都在線 臨時大年初二訂的酒店，價格還是很香的，加雙早360元一晚上 房間乾濕分離，打掃的很方便 還送了一次性的用品，毛巾、牙刷牙膏等等 早餐到10點，8點多餐品還都有，吃完了不到9點，就沒啥東西了，可能春節入住的人多吧 免費停車，車停到晉商博物館的停車場裏，很好停車，還順帶逛了晉商博物館 酒店步行幾百米就是柳巷、鼓樓街、食品街，逛吃逛吃，就是過節人太多了，周圍所有的餐廳都在排隊

Good location, if you're in a room away from the noisy streets. Updated design, so some effort has gone in there. Staff is functional and perfunctory; things get done. Not the most efficient, not the most welcoming. In fact, the worst i have encountered on this trip, but not terrible. Reminds me of some inns I have stayed in in rural China. The one thing that makes this an absolute no-no is that despite the price I am paying, there is no air-conditioning. It is a central air-con system and they have deemed it is not warm enough to turn it on. Which makes the room a stuffy furnace. Advice was to turn on air purifier which is noisy through the whole night and doesn't really help. If I'm paying for a room, at least let me decide the room ventilation. If they want to sell to foreign guests, they should know this is a basic given as this is what we have come to expect in our hotel rooms. So, strongly advice: NO! As they say in social media: 别来踩这个坑！

It’s really really nice room, it’s really clean, and even there’s no windows in our room but we didn’t care much because it was very comfortable. Thank you to the girls at the front desk who were so helpful and kind! They were very accommodating. This was one of the most value-for-money hotels we’ve stayed in. Location is great too. Would recommend to friends! :) Thanks again!

The Yunzhong Chaoran Pavilion was newly renovated just prior to our stay in January 2026. The whole building is spotless, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The staff make an effort to understand you, and are adept at using translation apps when conversation breaks down. They have a “Xiao Du” feature , similar to the American “Alexa”, where you can ask it to turn lights off and on, as well as to open and close the curtains . The receptionist patiently helped me to learn how to use it - and frankly , it was great practice for my pronunciation of Mandarin. Finding the hotel is as challenging as any other located where vehicles are not permitted to enter. We were fortunate to have a taxi driver who helped us figure out where the hotel was, and then walked us there. Datong is not yet well known as a tourist destination. However, it is a reasonably close drive to the Hanging Temple and the Grottoes, as well as the Wooden Pagoda. There is plenty to see within walking distance. The city space around the hotel is under construction- I expect it will become a lot more popular in the next two years.

The hotel was well located. The room exactly like it was described online. We reserved two rooms without windows for one day it was cost efficient! Unfortunately I could not reserve directly 4 breakfast online only two (one per room), we have to pay directly at breakfast for the two others one. We stop at Datong to visited one of UNESCO site and see the all Datong city. We thought more foreigners will visit this beautiful small city. No one speaks English (and that’s ok) but for a 4 stars hotel the front desk lady looks a bit lost with the check in procedure for foreigners (and I work in a 5 stars hotel in beijing so I know the procedure as a French working in China). Also, the isolation is bad, the front desk already inform us upon check in but we did not thought we will heard even the other room bathrooms flush. Thank you for this night your hotel is beautiful

Tällä kertaa tulin Taipei-matkailuun ja asunut Taipei Nome Hotelissa (Chan Chong Street Store), koko kokemus on täynnä suoraan, on suositeltava! Olen tyytyväinen maantieteelliseen sijaintiin. Se on todella hienoa. Kävelee muutaman minuutin päässä Chong Street, kauppias ja ruokailu Street. Alakerrassa on syötävä ja nauttia. Haluatko syödä Shanxi-spesifistä ruokaa, ostaa kadulla ja pelata kortteja. Ei tarvitse tehdä autoa. Ulos on savukaasu. Turistien on varovaisuutta ja säästää aikaa. On vaikeampaa olla lähellä ja epävarmaa, vaikka se onkin kaupungissa, mutta hotellin äänen eristys on erityisen hyvä, ilta on erityisen hiljainen, hiljainen, hiljainen, tähtien voi nukkua aamulla, ja hiljainen kokemus on liian suuri. Rakenne on täysin uusi, yksityiskohdat täynnä ja asuin erityisen mukava. Palvelu on entistä tiiviisti liikuttunut. Kun olet tilannut, hotelli soittaa aloitteellisesti, kysyä tarkasti matkatapaa, lähettää hyviä ohjeita etukäteen, muistuttaa tiiviisti pysäköintipaikan sijaintia, ei tarvitse etsiä tiensä. Reception asenne on kohtelias ja kohtelias, hoitaa tehokkaat ja nopeat oleskelut, ja kaikkia kysymyksiä on vastattava ajoissa ja koko prosessi on huolehdittu. Comfortable bed and warm room with plenty of light. Biggest complaint would be the water. Maybe we were unlucky but our room was without water for around 3 hours during our stay (during the day) and when it came back on the water was not hot enough for a shower for the rest of the day. Fortunately the following day the water was back to normal. Breakfast was average.

Location: near LinFenXi High Speed Rail Station 临汾西站(10mins drive/ 20mins by local public transport to LuoGuQiaoTou 锣鼓桥头站). Best is that they provide pick-up and drop-off at HSR station, just make a call 3 hours in advance. I dont have local number, so I email them in advance before my trip, they replied my email and provide me their WeChat number so I can make reservation for the pick-up service at the station. Many local tours have pick-up and drop-off service near the hotel (junction outside the hotel), easy and convenient. Services: warm and welcoming services. Tea and drinks in the lobby, luggage storage as well. Room: clean big room, big screen TV, mini bar fridge, bathrobe and comfy king bed. Lavender shower shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, make me feel so so much relax. Laundry: laundry machine are free of charge (washer and dryer). Laundry room provide ironing equipment, books, drink as well. Definitely not get bored. Otherwise, can use phone connect their website to make a reminder while the laundry have done (so convenient). Gym Room: just opposite and same level of laundry room. Treadmill are so new. Breakfast: varieties of choice. Before that I already crave for coffee since it is not so common to find espresso in the local breakfast restaurant. Salad bar, local meatball soup, noodles, dumplings, wantons, boiled egg, fried egg, fried tomato with egg and local cooked food. So many choice and so satisfying. However they dont have egg omelette, it is fine for me. I found that even though not staying at LinFen city centre, it is still fine to stay here as the traffic here is convenient. And here is more quiet and more relax👍 The only thing I dont like is, some customer smoking in the lift and hotel lobby (even though there is a sign in the lift to advice not to smoke), definitely affecting those unlike smoking smell and sick of cigarette smell like me.
