I had a great stay at Gilligan’s! The room was spacious and clean, and I was even lucky enough to have the whole dorm to myself one night. I still managed to meet plenty of people, despite being a solo traveller, thanks to the social atmosphere and nightlife. It’s worth noting that the bar/club area didn’t really get busy until late in the evening (11:30pm onwards), and the hostel is pretty deserted during the day thanks to everyone being out on tours/experiences. My room was overlooking the pool/bar area, so did get noisy at night, but the hostel offers free earplugs at reception which did the trick. It was great to have an en-suite in the room, and the bathroom was in good condition. The location is ideal, right within the hub of Cairns City, however I didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female traveller in the area at night, so it’s definitely important to be aware of that/travel in a group where possible. The on-site travel agency is helpful and approachable, and staying at the hostel means that you can get discounted drinks at the bar and free club entry before 11pm. I didn’t end up going to any of the weekday themed nights, but at the weekend the vibes downstairs were good. I would definitely recommend Gilligan’s to any young solo/group travellers who want to meet new people and experience Cairns’ party scene at a budget-friendly price!

The amenities are fabulous, they got swimming pool and spa! Gym is nice too with the sea view ~ For the room, the view is spontaneous! I love their balcony that you can enjoy the sea view :) The open kitchen is nice  that they even salt and pepper! We made nice pasta and breakfast in the hotel! however, the blanket and the pillow is quite old and got a little bit blood stain on it . anyways nice stay there as it is so near to the busy area- surfers paradise!

Mould throughout wet areas. Major health hazard for my handicapped son who is a chronic asthmatic No maintenance done. Ceiling in several spots is collapsing. Toilet lid broken. Shower head unable to be kept upright so you can have a hands free shower. Balcony louvre screen panels were off the sliding rail so you could not slide them. Etc, etc, etc .....

It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the sky tower now and it was again a great experience. Check in and out was easy. The sky high apartment was perfect with the amenities / kitchen in the apartment perfect for what we needed. The view out to the Brisbane river was beautiful and the location was an easy walk to the casino and shopping areas of Brisbane. Had a quick chance to relax by the pool which was exactly what we needed after a busy day in Brisbane.

Location of the resort is very good, on the river, close to the Surfers Paradise central area and walking distance to the beach. It has lots of free garage and on site parking. It has tennis court, beautiful pool with hot outdoor spa , gym and dry sauna. All service desk guys were very attentive and helpful. Downside is that the resort is old and needs lots of maintenance. All common areas are in need of a facelift. All units have individual owners. The unit I stayed had blocked sink in the bathroom and bed mattress in the bedroom was worn out and sagging to one side. Lucky me I was able to sleep on the other side!

The location is great and the room is spacious. However, it’s obvious that the whole property is not well-maintained. The welcome greeting was the odour from the room. Thick dust was still accumulating at each corner. The aged limescale was the boldest statement I have ever heard, not mention that the fixed shower head is way too outdated.

I recently stayed at The Capitol Apartments and had a fantastic experience! The location is excellent, just a 5mins walk from the exhibition centre super convenient. The apartment itself is spacious, with a big balcony that offers a lovely view, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the morning. The 1 bedroom apartment had ample space, with a large bathroom, bedroom, and lounge area. I was impressed by the size of each room, plenty of room to relax and unwind. The surrounding area is also great, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and would definitely recommend The Capitol Apartments to others. Great value for the price!

An absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

Kaunis, kaunis, hyvin ylläpidetty ja moderni huoneisto. Meillä oli 2 makuuhuonetta, 2 kylpyhuonetta. Sänky & keittiöt olivat mukavia ja pehmeitä. Rummellinen täyden näköala lattia kattoikkunat, jotka antavat suoran näkymän satamassa. Kaunis olohuone, jossa TV. Joten mukavaa saada ruokaa ulos parvekkeella, koska hämmästyttävät näkymät. Ilmastointi toimii täydellisesti. Keittiö on moderni kaikessa, mitä tarvitset keittää. On valtava puisto vain 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä meren äärellä täydellinen lapsille. Yleensä erittäin suositeltavaa ja antaisin meidän oleskelu 11/10 -
