Hotel Solar BOM Jesus was the perfect home base for my adventures in Madeira! 🏞️ The location is unbeatable - just steps from the iconic BOM Jesus church and a short walk to the lively town center. My single room was cozy and spotlessly clean. 🛀 The staff went above and beyond, always greeting me with a smile and quick to provide recommendations. The basic but well-appointed facilities had everything I needed. I'd happily stay here again on my next trip! 👍

Kuten saatat kysyä, miten vierailuni meni, tiedäthän, ettemme menneet Madeiraan. Tein virheen päivämäärien kanssa; halusin sen maaliskuulle, en helmikuulle, ja vastauksesi oli EI. En varaa mitään muuta Trip.comin kautta.
Ei mitään Hotel Baleiraa vastaan. Suuret kiitokset Patricialle, joka teki kaikkensa.

Tässä hotellissa on paljon enemmän potentiaalia kuin sen johto hyödyntää. Se voisi helposti parantaa asiakaspalvelua ja nostaa tasoaan. En pidä sitä neljän tähden hotellina, vaan pikemminkin kolmen tähden hotellina. Sen pitäisi vain parantaa siisteyttä (löysimme kaksi torakkaa kylpyhuoneestamme!!!), uima-altaan ja yleisten tilojen kalusteita/laitteita sekä huoneiden viimeistelyä, kuten ovia ja huonekaluja.
Sillä on potentiaalia jopa viiden tähden hotelliksi, mutta se on todellakin kolmen tähden hotelli. Henkilökunta on ammattitaitoista ja ratkaisi kaikki ongelmamme, mutta he ansaitsevat myös paremmat olosuhteet.

Cool Ronaldo/football themed hotel. Staff were excellent, rooms - modern and quiet. The hotel is about 15-20 mins walk to the city life. You get a free ticket to CR7 museum with your stay (worth €5).

Whilst arriving at the Don Pedro past midnight on the 22nd of June we were gasping for a cup of tea lovely kettle and cups in the room but no teabags upon asking at Reception no none available anyway just a suggestion it would be good to have a couple in the room for arrival, thank you

У отеля удобное расположение в старом городе. Да, это не на побережье, но в этом есть свое удобство. До набережной минут 7 ходьбы. Завтраки отличные, много фруктов (папайя, бананы, ананас и т.д.). В честь Дня рождения порадовали бутылкой игристого.

Yksi parhaista hotelleista, joissa olen koskaan käynyt. Täydellisen siisti, kaunis ja superviihtyisä! Herkullinen ja tuorein kuviteltavissa oleva aamiainen. Kätevä ja rauhallinen sijainti. Ehdottomasti ihanteellinen!

O Porto Santo Hotel & Spa é uma escolha excelente para quem procura descanso e tranquilidade. Apesar de ser um hotel modesto, é extremamente confortável e acolhedor. Destaco especialmente a simpatia e disponibilidade do staff, que torna a experiência ainda mais agradável. E o bar de praia? Simplesmente espetacular — perfeito para aproveitar o pôr do sol com uma bebida na mão. Recomendo!

VVieraskäyttäjäTolles Hotel mit eigenem Spa Bereich und schönen Natur Pools direkt neben dem Strand. Viele Touristen in dieser Region vorhanden. Ich würde raten schon bereits vor Check-In Wasser etc. einzukaufen.
Sehr empfehlenswert für den Nachtpreis von ca. 150-170€ zusammen. Mehr würde ich jedoch nicht bezahlen.

VVieraskäyttäjäOne of the main reason why I booked this 4 star hotel was that it said it had a large space gym area as mentioned before booking, so I assumed it being a 4 start Hotel it will have decent weights and machines. However, when I arrived, the gym didn’t have a pull-up bar or a cable machine, the dumbbell weights were very basic that went up to only 10 kg. That is absolutely disappointing considering this was a 4 start Hotel. To be honest the multiuse cable machine is pretty much all you need as it has everything to be exercise all your body parts! I love my pullups hence I had to find a way to do them so I found a metal gate just outside the gym in the tennis court believe it or not I used the gate frame to do my pullups (see picture). Another downfall is that it didn’t have a water fountain in the gym area. You had to go up to the reception and buy bottle of water for €2. Good luck to those who suffer from quick dehydration.
I expected the room to have a kettle which you wouldn’t think twice whether it will have it or not. But guess what? You have to pay extra to have a kettle in your room during your stay between €5 to €7. That’s just jokes, I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry!
Other than that, the staff were very friendly and the location is close to the sea, and approximately 11 minutes drive to the main city area in Funchal.
I’d say the breakfast is good, but the same time pretty standard what you would get in a 3 star hotel. I was expecting better variety. The breakfast is always the same every day. Hardly never changes. However, the dinner menu has a rotation.
Overall, I would give this place 3.5 out of 5!
I hope they can accommodate the above the next time I visit.

Excelente localização na calheta, mesmo em cima de uma praia de areia dourada, com acesso direto do hotel. Ideal ter carro pois fica a 30min do Funchal.
Vale a pena pagar extra para ter quarto com vista de mar
A qualidade e quantidade da comida cumpre com o tudo incluído, assim como as bebidas.
Animação diária e variada.
Bom spa com piscina aquecida, turco, sauna e duches frios.
Zona da piscina exterior muito agradável, com bastantes espreguiçadeiras e bem conseguida.
Ping Pong gratuito, bilhar pago (€3/hora).
Muito boa relação preço/qualidade.

Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

В итоге, нашелся отель с очень просторными номерами, панорамным окном, кофе/чай, удобной ванной комнатой с биде, большим балконом. Единственные моменты: раздельная кровать для пары и слабоватый душ. Шум ночных волн на любителя:) Нам пришлось закрывать дверь на балкон, хотя и так было довольно шумно.
Сервис очень дружелюбный.
Завтрак вкусный и свежий. Много выпечки, напитки, нарезки и горячее.
Не ожидала, что будет бесплатный трансфер до центра и обратно. Абсолютный плюс этого отеля, потому что находится он не в шаговой доступности от центра.
Виды, чистота возле отеля, свой пляж - это потрясающе.
Далее мы проживали в частном секторе и много что посмотрели на острове, но первые две ночи в Orca Praia остались в нашем сердечке💘

RReyho0nHotelli on hyvällä paikalla ja varaamastamme merinäköalahuoneesta oli mukava näköala merelle. Minun on kuitenkin mainittava, että tämä hotelli ei ole neljän tähden hotelli. Koko rakennus on vanha, ja he ovat pitäneet sen vanhanaikaisessa muodossa. Kylpyamme ei ole hyvä, he eivät tarjoa edes vettä päivittäisessä palvelussa eivätkä teetä (mitä odotetaan neljän tähden hotellilta).
Hissi on vanha ja aina täynnä, ei todellakaan sovellu yksitoistakerroksiseen rakennukseen.

Walking opportunities are limited due to the steepness of the terrain but there’s a great path down to Curral do Freitas (45-60 minutes). Service was very good but the vegetarian food was not up to the standards that we expected. Good selection at breakfast but the hot breakfast is not kept warm. Nice jacuzzi and nice, small indoor pool.Certainly worth a visit but could be even better with better food as it’s a long way to the nearest restaurant. €3.35 bus from Funchal (No. 81) but check timetables carefully

VVieraskäyttäjäWe stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed.
Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe suites are located on southern beach strip of the island, accessible by 2 buses or a taxi from the ferry port. Staff was very friendly, although not always aware of things when we asked some questions, but they did endeavour to find out. The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, and needs some work and the rooms could do with some fresh paint. But overall very nice and comfortable, clean large outdoor pool, plenty of send beds, and umbrellas and beds directly on the beach with lifeguard on duty. The breakfast was tasty too with plenty of options. Would stay again
