Tinha reservado um quarto com vista para a cidade com cama de casal e foi-me atribuído um quarto sem vista para a cidade e com duas camas individuais! Quanto ao resto o Hotel tem bom serviço e está muito bem localizado!
We booked this room last minute.. The manager was very accommodating and even included a complimentary breakfast in our room rate, even though it would have a 5 euro charge extra. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom squeaky clean. The hotel is not in the city centre, but the centre is not far , easily reached by metro, 2 stops away, or a 15min downhill stroll. The decor is somewhat dated overall, but it gives the property the quaint air of a countryside pousada even though it is located in Porto city.
Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, and the beds were super comfy. The location was great—close to the airport, not far from the beach, and with easy access to a bus that goes to the city. Free parking was a big perk and made things even more convenient. Breakfast was decent and did the job.
The only downside was the noise at night. The road can be busy, and a dog nearby barks throughout the night, so keeping the window open wasn’t an option. It would have also been nice if the room had an iron or steamer.
Aside from that, the staff were lovely, and the hotel was very convenient and well-maintained. Would definitely stay again!
Amazing hotel with great amenities, personnel, food. The only downside for me was that the gym lacked even the very basics (not even a set of dumbbells/kettlebells, just cardio machines).
Absolutely great host and his son. Nice place ad service,It was the best place of stay of my trip to Portugal due to the host, envronment and service. Breakfast is good and does not cost much,It should be requested separately.I would go there again if I come to Porto.
Super emplacement, hôtel très propre, par contre le petit déjeuné n’est pas au top, juste le minimum garantie. Jus d’orange chimique si l’on veut un vrai il faut rajouter 1 euro 50. Pareil pour avoir un œuf.
Peut être qu’il faudrais faire payer un peu plus chère et avoir un peu plus de choix par exemple des fruits. Mais c’est quand même bien .
Espaço simples, limitado. Mas não deixa de ser local simpático. A criticar, só terem uma toalha por pessoa, que tem que dar para tudo, mãos, face e cory, para o banho um pouco pequena, e não terem um copo para ajudar na higiene oral.
Foi uma experiência bastante agradável, ambiente muito tranquilo e sossegado.
Funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis.

Room is big and bed confortante. Toilet is also big and with amenities.
If you’re planning to visit the Porto wine caves and Gaia this hotel is really in a great location. There’s also the food market near by and some restaurants and bars. The

MMar4MorAn amazing hotel! I was so impressed with the decor and the cleanliness and above all... the staff! They were pleasant, accomodating and even gave us an upgrade which was just incredible! I want to especially thank the following wonderful staff members who made our 1 night stay so special... they should be commended for their HIGH CUSTOMER ORIENTED persona! Very rare to find these days. The people I would like to thank are: Debouc, Fernando, Andre and Joao! Absolutely wonder human beings who treat customers with respect and dignity! I fould this hotel along with another one in Cascais to be TOP NOTCH when it came to hospitality! I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to everyone I know. I pray these folks are recognized for their outstanding customer relations and hospitality! Impeccable to say the least! They deserve a raise!

VVieraskäyttäjäLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.
UUrban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay.
One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel.
The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal.
Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!
VVieraskäyttäjäThe location of the hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to most places. The metro is right outside too. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the Bolhão market and shopping area is only a few minutes walk away. The service is great as well.
NNata_tsOne of the best and the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The interior is very beautiful, the entire story wall was impressive, and the furniture is beautiful, there’s a kitchen with plenty much everything if you want to cook and a comfortable bed. Altogether the design of the hotel and the concept are really cool. I read the book about the Alameda street they put in the room and was very impressed with the research and effort that was put into the hotel.
Location is the best, close to pretty much everything, and Aliados metro station.
I totally recommend Libere Porto Laranjais and would be happy to stay there again, but maybe in summer next time:) December is a bit cold, I needed to put in the air conditioner all the time:)
