Hotellit mukavuudella Aamiainen maassa Portugali, provinssissa Faron piiri

"Llegamos el lunes 11 a las 15.10 fuimos a la recepción a hacer check in, según su página a partir de las 15.00 podíamos entrar a las habitaciones. Después de esperar 2 horas para que nos dieran las llaves, según ellos porque no habían llegado las almohadas… entramos en la habitación y decidimos quedarnos esa tarde en la piscina. Apenas 30 hamacas en toda la piscina para más de 60 personas, nos obliga a tirarnos en el césped. Desayuno buffet, pobre… repetitivo todos los días. El jamón serrano el mismo que iba sobrando todos los días, a día de hoy estaba de color verde (poco apetecible). La habitación normalita, los amenitties nulos… apenas una caja con pañuelos de papel y un gorro de ducha… sabemos que había más porque nuestro amigo tenía bastoncillos de algodón y limpiador de zapatos. Ni siquiera un cepillo de dientes. A las 17.00 aún no está la habitación limpia… pedimos por favor que nos la hagan y tardan más de 1 hora en venir a hacerla. Para ser un hotel 5 estrellas bastante normalito… me esperaba más después de pagar 700€ por 5 noches."

"Great location with a very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the fire door at the downstairs corridor entry which bang during the night. Otherwise this hotel is perfect. Breakfast was also great with a fine choice."

"Check was fast, friendly and efficient. Room was very good. Large bed, safe balcony, very clean, tea and coffee making facilities in the room.Rituals toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with good choices in all areas. Pool looked clean but didn't use it. Dinner menu had a good selection of dishes but again did not use."

"Former Porta Nova Hotel since 2017 completely remodeled. Free breakfast, free Sauna and Turkish bath, free indoor and outdoor pool makes this place a bargain if you can get reasonable rates (65€ we paid per night). Buffet dinner 29€/Person + drinks is overpriced (local restaurant dinner incl. drinks is 15-20€/Person) Breakfast buffet has huge selection, made to order eggs and stuff is a real plus. Parking (still) free (incl. the roadside). Very nice personell all over - high recommened for Tavira! I recomend ”Restraurante O Simao” in residential area"

"The rooms are generally quite good value for money with all the basic essentials. The service was generally quite good though some staff were noticeably more friendly than others. The location is ok but a bit of a walk from the marina and the ferries to the islands. The one major disappointment but this may have not been any fault of the hotel was the power cuts. There were several in one day and three of those occurred in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. You might be thinking well, if we were asleep, how did it affect us? Well, when the power cuts off the emergency lights kick in. When they came on, it woke us up. I understand the need for emergency lighting, but on that particular night we really didn’t sleep very night"

"Pro: Hotel Alba was very clean, the staff at breakfast were very hard working, if a plate was empty on the table, they would remove it straight away. Check in wasn't until 4pm which is a little late than usual but our room was ready by 3pm so we were allowed to go in a bit earlier. The room was a lovely size, plenty of space, comfortable bed and very good shower. Breakfast was very good - pastries/fruit and a little cooked breakfast - buffet style. Plenty of beds and umbrellas around the pool. Con: The reception staff not very friendly and the 'bar' (which is just an array of alcohol bottles on the back shelf of reception) not great. Missing a trick here to not have a few more comfortable chairs/umbrellas around the top end of swimming pool and a 'mobile' bar and maybe serve snacks/toasties etc."

"Nos encantó, está muy bien por el precio y el personal muy amable. Quizá un punto que pueda servir para seleccionar este hotel es que no siempre cobran el depósito que mencionan en la publicación, a nosotros no nos tocó lo cual fue genial para no preocuparnos por tener el efectivo del depósito. Rica estancia."

"Once called the Alvor Luna Bay when bedrooms seemed larger!!! Renamed and reshaped. Swishly refurbed as new. Now the main problem is the lack of storage in what seem smaller bedrooms despite voluminous balconies. Simply, storage is inadequate for two guests for longer than a week, maximum. Let me describe............ a small [4feet tall?] open metal wardrobe rail with five fixed point clothes hangers. Four or five open shelves beside this rail., one occupied by the rooms safe. In all other respects its fine. The staff good and plentiful and helpful. The location the best in town!"

"Very clean and new hotel. The carpets in the hallways were brilliant - well thought out to make wheeled suitcases easy to pull; also stylish. Bed was super comfortable, AC very effective, room was kept immaculately clean by friendly cleaning staff. Friendly staff served breakfast and in the roof top bar which was amazing, with 360degree views. Dipping pool and sun loungers were well-used; hard to get a lounger in time! Downside: some very odd management decisions. Despite description on Trip there was no cafe, no lunch or dinner and not even bar snacks! I rang on the 2nd day to ask for a bottle of water … response “Madam, this is a 3* hotel. You only get a bottle of water on your first day”!! Bizarre. I was able to buy a $0.99 bottle from the bar for €2.50! Breakfast: the ubiquitous coffee machine producing the most disgusting coffee - I tried all of them! In the end I risked tea and even the hot water had scum on it. I know I was not alone … bacon - HP sauce standing proud like a statue - no sausages, cooked tomato, fried egg etc! Pancakes and waffles - no syrup! Nice fresh bread rolls and croissants. Sliced cheese and packaged ham. Selection of cereals, orange juice and good selection of fruit. After 5 breakfasts I got fed up. WARNING - I was asked to give them my debit card to pay - she wrote down all the details! After I thought - why? I asked why - she said do they could charge me after I left if anything was missing or broken. I was assured this was legal in Portugal! I told them that was what “checkout” was for! I froze my card but I was really angry and when I have time to get a replacement I will need to cancel it! Balcony nice but only looked onto other rooms! Looking down - WHY NO GARDEN???!!! Just rooftops. I recommend a 4 hour boat trip …. Maybe 30m pleasant walk. Also hire bikes and go to the Nature Reserve - don’t miss Roman Salt Pits and beach crabs ….😊"
