The front desk was super friendly and welcoming and were so patient when we had trouble asking about parking. The hotel offered on site parking overnight. The room was nicely designed and clean, the bed was comfortable and they had onsens on the ground floor and basement. The highlight was definitely the buffet breakfast. The dining area was quite small so it was a bit crowded when we went but don’t be fooled, there was a huge selection and everything was so fresh and so tasty. Our favourite was the all you can eat sashimi and salmon roe and the freshly made tempura shrimp. I would return just for the breakfast 😛

Stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really positive experience. The location is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk to both the train station and MTR, which made getting around effortless. There are plenty of convenience stores right nearby. The hotel has a nice quiet vibe, which was perfect after busy days out exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was a standout, surprisingly big and spacious by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, and there was still plenty of floor space even after we opened two large suitcases (something that’s almost impossible in most other compact hotels in Japan). The only downside was the bedding. The duvet (?) was way too thick and heavy for my liking. It made the bed feel quite hot at night, and I ended up sweating a lot despite the AC. Otherwise, this place was near perfect. Would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you’re okay with cranking the AC lower. Solid choice!

Decent budget stay – you get what you pay for. Room was clean, basic, and functional. Location is superb: right across from Train Station, with a tram stop very close by. Downside: my room was in the South Block, so I had to pass the smoking area (just an open space with plastic sheets) every time I used the elevator. Despite an air purifier, the cigarette smell was strong and unpleasant. Not ideal for non-smokers.

The hotel is conveniently located just across from the JR station, only about a one-minute walk away, which made getting around extremely easy. The reception staff were clear, attentive, and very welcoming. Check-in was swift and seamless. The buffet breakfast costs ¥2,500 per person and offers a great selection of dishes, making it a satisfying way to start the day. The fish market is just around the corner, where you can find fresh seafood, fruits, and dried scallops. I would recommend purchasing from the individual stalls outside the main market area as the prices tend to be cheaper. There is also a food court within the market if you would like to enjoy a meal there. Overall, the location is excellent, especially for those arriving by train and wanting easy access to the local market and dining options.

SUCH AN AMAZING HOTEL!! Coming from an airbnb in tokyo to here is an absolute 180 degrees change. We just book the standard twin room but it is quite spacious and very clean!! And the toilet is very spacious using the bathtub is alsoo veryy nice!! The staff is very very nice and when they notice from my passport that it is my birthday they kindly offer to decorate my room. Above all the hotel is just RIGHT BESIDE the station so it is very convenient. PLUS POINT that the hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS in the winter per my pic below. All in all WOULD DEFINITELY stay here again!

I booked this hotel last minute after cutting short my stay at another hotel in Otaru due to exposed cable wiring under the bed area. Having learnt from that experience, I checked this room carefully upon arrival and was relieved to find everything well maintained. Mitsui Garden did a great job with the room setup, and everything felt clean and safe. The room is spacious enough for three guests, with good walkway space, a hanging area, and a proper wardrobe. It feels more comfortable compared to other triple rooms I’ve stayed in. The bathroom is also a decent size and not as cramped as what you typically find in many Japanese hotels. The hotel offers a public bath for both men and women, which is a nice feature to relax in. However, the laundry setup could be improved. There is only one combo washer-dryer machine, and the waiting time is quite long. Even at 3–4 a.m., guests are queuing to use it, and each wash-and-dry cycle takes around two hours. You can monitor the washer status directly from your room TV, which is convenient, but it would be much better if the hotel could add a few more machines. It can be inconvenient when guests miss their pickup time and others have to wait. So, you really needs to plan and be more considerate in using the washer. Breakfast has a limited selection and leans more towards Western-style dishes, but there is a live chef station serving both sweet and savory crepes, which adds a nice touch to the morning experience.

We experienced an earthquake last night. It was so scary. Overall stay is good. We decided to check out earlier than our plan and went to the train station to Sapporo. Only that the room we had is too small. Can't put our 2 big luggage The staff was very good and accommodating. From the front office to the House keeping.

I had a wonderful stay at Air Terminal Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect since the hotel is directly inside the airport, making it extremely convenient, especially for travelers with early morning flights. The airport itself has many shops, restaurants, snack stores, and convenience stores, so it’s very easy to find food, drinks, and anything you might need. The room is compact but clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the window view overlooking the airplanes — it was a unique and beautiful sight.✈️ 😋Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers access to an onsen, which is a great feature, although I didn’t get the chance to try it because the queue was quite long. Overall, it was a very pleasant and convenient stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and easy access at the airport.👍

The hotel has the best location as we could walk pass JR station in a short time to reach which helped us in a very cold and windy day. I loved that they separated the washing basin, toilet and shower room so we didn’t need to wait for others to finish everything. They also provided additional pillows. My favorite part of this hotel was BREAKFAST. I loved their Kaiten sushi. I loved Kani Miso which was one of my memorable sushi of all time. Also, the raw squid was so delicious and fresh. The salmon roe they gave us 1 cup each was so freshhhhh . It made me realize that the real one was this one. The atmosphere in the dining restaurant was so bright and comfy. I definitely go back to this hotel again if I will be in Hakodate.

Low-key loved this hotel! The location is super convenient—literally right next to JR Hakodate Station, so getting around the city and visiting the main attractions is really easy. The staff were super nice and welcoming, always smiling and ready to help. The room was clean and comfy. There’s also an onsen and sauna, which was perfect to chill in after a long day of walking around. You can also grab free amenities in the lobby, which is a nice touch. Breakfast was honestly so good and unlimited. There were fresh sashimi, salad, fried chicken, fish, pancakes, croissants, and the super tasty Hokkaido milk ice cream. And a lot more—just look at the photos! Overall, great vibe, great stay. Would totally come back again. 🫶
