Simple but lovely hotel. Right in the centre of all the local amenities. Loads of parking available right outside the front of the hotel. Get yourself in the coaster opposite the hotel live singers and cheap drinks in the daytime.

My partner and i have just returned from a 3 night stay over Easter Bank holiday weekend with our french bulldog skyler. This is a brilliant hotel, lovely and clean, staff were very helpful and very accommodating. breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. I would definitely return next time we visit southport. Thanks to all the royal clifton staff that made our short break amazing

Hotel was a little run down and the rooms were only to be expected for being around 150+ year old hotel, the bathroom was a little updated and pleasant. The lifts were very bad and non responsive, had to walk down the stairs which is not ideal if we had mobility issues, the breakfast was, Well let's just say Avoid!! Customer service was a little bit patronising to say the least. All in all probably a 3/10 if being kind.

I will start my review by saying the staff were very helpful and can only work with what they have. Our check in was fine but on getting to our room it was like a fridge and the heating was very poor and even after being on for an hour or more was barely warm. We had to get a connector heater which was broken!! We had to prop it up with part of the hair dryer. The draft at the window was like a gale force wind. The room was well showing its age there was no mirror over the dressing table/desk. And the curtains were thread bare. The swimming pool was OK but the steam room and jacuzzi was not working. I was expecting a lot more from a mercury hotel. We were very disappointed.

Great hotel in perfect location. Small suites and equipped kitchenette is a lovely addition to the comfy room in this friendly hotel on the Albert Dock. Great breakfast too. Would definitely stay again.

Decent hotel. Had everything I needed. Clean bed sheets and en suite toilet/shower. A tad noisy due to central, busy location and my bedroom had a view of the rear yard of the bar with bins/kegs/bottles but room was more than adequate for a short stay. Good price, too. Polite staff. Would return.

I have stayed many times It was good until 02:30 am when a burglar tried to smash the front door down. I was in room 5 right above. It was so noisy and at least 6 police arrived to take the lunatic away in Van. It went on for an hour I could not sleep and vacated my room NR 5 @ 04:30 am very unhappy. Plus I was asked to pay £5 to park, first time EVER ! The young night porter was amazing and showed me out through the kitchen to my car. Amazing experience at the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village! Stunning lounge and room. Booked an executive room and we had ample space, great facilities, including coffee machine in room! Staff were very helpful, offering special packages that can be arranged for special events / anniversaries. Great views of the radio tower and cathedrals from Level 13 too. 5/5!

Great location for the theatre and right in the centre of things. Loved the valet parking too which saved time fighting the parking apps - £20 per stray. Immaculate hotel, great furnishings and everything you could possibly need for a great breakfast. All the staff are super friendly and professional - I highly recommend this hotel.
