Hotellit mukavuudella Aamiainen maassa Yhdistynyt kuningaskunta, provinssissa Itä-Lothian

Kokonaiskokemus oli hyvä, mutta ei erittäin tyytyväinen. Valitsin hotellin, koska toivomme jäävän Mansion pitkä historia ja perintö, joka toivottavasti tekee perheen matkan miellyttävämmäksi. Ennen kuin menemme, etsin kommentti sivustot ja löysin joitakin matkustajia antaa huonoja kommentteja esim. pieni kylpyhuone, jossa malli, pöydän pöytä ja lattia mat, jne.. Kiitos, että annoit nämä rehelliset kommentit, joten alentan hieman omaa odotustani. Kun menimme hotellihuoneelle, lämmin tervetuloa vastaan hotellihenkilöstön. Saapuimme kello 15 ja ajattelimme voimme olla teeaika hotellissa, mutta valitettavasti meille kerrottiin teeaika on oltava kirja 24h etukäteen. He voivat tarjota meille skoneita ja teetä sijasta. Sitten menimme meidän kaksinkertainen makuuhuone 14sq.m yksi ja se näyttää pieni, varsinkin wc on pieni kuten hostelli tai kohtuuhintainen oleskelu sen sijaan hotellihuone maksua gbp170 yö, jonka odotimme sen pitäisi olla enemmän kuin se. Sukellus oli niin pieni, täytyy pestä kädet todella huolellisesti muuten vesi on kuormitettu kaikkialla. Teekulma, hälytys, ikkunan pöly, Kuppi ja keittiö eivät olleet puhtaita. Kaikki nämä huolimatta, Makuuhuone oli hieno ja mukava. Hotellirakennus itse on historiallinen ja kaunis, jossa on useita ruokailuhuoneita tarjoavat lounas, teetä, illallinen. Bar palvelu tarjoilevat juomat, suuri kirjasto, pöytäpelejä saatavilla lapsille, hyvin tilava vihreä kenttä ja kaunis ruusu puutarha. Aamulla aamiainen 8-10am on itsepalvelu yksi ja ruoka oli kuuma ja tuore. Kaunis luonto ympäröi ja historiallinen rakennus itse tekee kokemuksen onnellisen, mutta hotellin palvelu ja hygienia suosittelevat parantamista.

A short 1 night stay while visiting friends nearby. In short the location, service, & breakfast were all good, but the hotel building is need of some work. It's a lovely period property in the style that is expected with creaking floorboards, sash windows, and curious corridors leading to uniquely shaped rooms. The single room was compact and had been somewhat modernised, the bed was comfortable and clean, but sadly that didn't extend into the bathroom/shower-room that needed some work. Perhaps most noticably there are many simple things that would bring the room fully up to scratch such as sorting out the grouting in the bathroom, replacing the noisy extractor fan, removing mould from around the bathroom ceiling, replacing the dirty net curtain on the window, washing the carpet regularly & hoovering more carefully. Similarly with the front of the building, give all the painted areas a refresh, peeling paint is not a good first impression when parking the car. The full scottish breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Hopefully if I do return on a visit next year the owners will have made some improvements to the building as it could be a lovely hotel with much higher review scores.

For the price paid, I expect a good night's rest. However, the entire property was not soundproofed properly. Yes, I know it is an old property but it can still be soundproofed whilst maintaining its heritage status. As I was at Room 15 (by the staircase at the crossroads between rooms and above the kitchen), I could hear people walking up and down to get to/from their rooms when I was trying to sleep. And from very early morning I could hear the kitchen starting their work. The level of noise was ridiculous. And once when I called reception three times when a wasp flew into my room, no one picked up despite me calling 3 time. I had to go downstairs and find help. Ridiculous again.

Place was good and clean. As we don’t drive location was not really good for us though there was bus stop near to the place. It would be fine if there was no holidays, but since we went on new years there was no bus on that day and having an early flight we have to go before sunrise and there was no streetlight at all, it was scary. I guess we just booked it at the wrong time of the year, unless you drive it would be a good place to stay.

This is one of the most stunning hotels in the area! We had a room with a private hot tub overlooking the sea and it was fantastic 😍 That hotel has everything to offer for a pleasant stay; the views, comfortable rooms, attentive personnel, delicious food and an amazing selection of drinks. Breakfast has a variety of options for vegetarians and vegans, so if you are a plant based, you will find lots of options on the menu.
