POS: very central location 50 mtr from casino and beach; historical building with old charm; quite big but with a family atmosphere; (my) room recently renovated; pleasant bar area; quiet; considering location reasonably priced. NEG: elavator super slow, tiny and shaky at times (7 floors); bathroom good but shower itself clumsy; staff could use some extra training ＞ in 4 days' stay there was always something not done or missing, and worst of all in spite of plenty of mgmt messages to save energy, in 2/4 days we came back late night and aircon had been switched on (by staff, not us), on a day it was barely 20 degrees, meaning complete waste of energy, and cost.

Everything was perfect excepted the mattress is too soft and it makes your back pain. For Breakfast : Suggestion on all vegan drink, please make sure that the open date is not too long that suggested on the box otherwise the taste gonna gone off like I experienced Chocolate Soya ( it tasted sour already) Also, it would be nice if you have the signs tell what each item is due to not everyone knows and some they don’t eat pork, beef or chicken.

Walking distance to historical areas Head to the carpark lift and go to the upper level of the carpark, then walk along the carpark heading away from the station but parallel and you will see two glass lifts to the Ibis hotel. Don't follow google map which takes you to the rear of the hotels running along with the railway tracks as you have to walk around the whole block and back to the carpark lift. Very confusing and not good for people who have mobility issues. The escalators near the convenience store outside the station were not working, if you are mobile you can climb stairs but with luggage I'd recommend that you use the carpark lift. Buses you can tap on with your credit card or phone pay. There's luggage storage lockers at the station but expensive and once you lock you can't unlock until you are finished using otherwise you have to pay again, even if you paid already for many hours. Very nice hotel perfectly based between Oostende and Brugge. Located on a lake side, very calm position and cheaper than others. Well recommended but the shower tray sealant in the bathroom could have been changed or bleached as it was full of black mould all over. Pity as shower was good and quite wide. Room small but its an ibis budget and it is enough space for 2 people. Comfy bed too

Service: Erg afhankelijk van wie er aan de balie staat. De jonge dame is een topper! Wanneer we een nacht willen bijboeken; wordt er bij het voorstel geen rekening gehouden met korting. Integendeel; de upgrade die we kregen bij het inchecken werd volledig aangerekend bij een eventuele verlenging. Online bijboeken zou 30€ goedkoper geweest zijn dan verlengen aan de balie! Problemen met airco: die werkt niet. Het is snel erg warm op de kamer. Hoewel meerdere keren gemeld; niet opgelost geraakt. Verder perfecte lokatie!

What an amazing little hotel! Perfect location right in the middle of everything. We booked the budget canal room and the view was beautiful. We really enjoyed people watching (the bridge) and the sparkly water reflecting from the lights. Really clean and spacious. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Definitely stay here!!

Goed hotel.3x verbleven in hotel Mercure.1x verbleven in Blankenberge met boeking met bongobons. 2x verbleven in Oostende en zeer tevreden.een tip dat ik wil.meegeven is controleer het opvullen van de zepen in de doucheruimte.In Blankenberge de 2de dag leeg, in Oostende idem. Voor de rest TOP!

Cons: - The rooms are outside of the main building. Dorms are large but it gets really hot and there's no AC or even fans. It's quite suffocating, even with the windows open (and there's a bar just next to it, so it can be nosy in the evening). Thankfully Belgium nights aren't too hot. - Showers and toilets are in the same room, and shared for men and women, which can feel like a lack of privacy. - No hairdryer or any amenities in the shower room. Pros: - Good location, 15min walk to the center. - Beautiful restaurant inside the main building. - Free earplugs

El servicio excelente, con el extra de que antes de la hora del check-in ya teníamos la habitación disponible. Ubicación excelente y los servicios compartidos con el Duke's Palace (recepción, desayuno...). Es conveniente saber que, aunque te llevan las maletas hasta el hotel, este se encuentra en un edificio con algunos escalones que se deben de salvar en los pisos superiores, pese a contar en ascensor, por lo que debe ser tenido en cuenta para las personas con movilidad reducida.

Heel mooi hotel, gerenoveerd met oog voor de art deco details van het gebouw. We kregen een kamer upgrade waarmee we heel blij waren! Prachtige kamer, ook de badkamer is heel mooi. Ontbijt is lekker, heel veel fruit. Ligging is perfect, vlakbij de zee
