The hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay. Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive. The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice. One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is? Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening. First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this. I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing. The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details. The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here. Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100. (To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf) In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating. This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction. Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel. This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement. I love this hotel a lot. it’s a small family owned one but very neat and tidy, breakfast tastes so good and the staff are all very nice. it’s around just 5 minutes walk to central train station which makes it so much easier for us after long whole day trips. It definitely worth staying!

It’s 10mins walk from station to hotel, and another 10mins walk to old town area, not as close as it is, but still very acceptable for a walk. Along the side to hbf, there’s lot of restaurant with Japanese, Korean, or Chinese cuisine, and thats not bad too!

My family visited Salzburg for leisure and really satisfied with this hotel. The shape of the room for 4 people was quite unique and modern. I was surprised that there was no curtain or door for shower room but it was clean and nice. The most impressed part was the instagrammable view. Overall, everything was fine, nice, and perfect. Also the staffs of this hotel were gentle.

We stayed at Harry’s home in Salzburg city centre for 3 nights between 20/12/25 and 23/12/25. There were three of us, including our 5-year old daughter. The hotel itself is situated very centrally, just 5 minutes away from Salzburg’s main railway station, where one can also get access to most of the buses as well. There is also parking available right on the back of the hotel, which is owned by the city of Salzburg, but the hotel can help with booking. A 24-h pass cost me 15 Euros. When we arrived, there must have been some problem with the booking platform, as I was told that the hotel’s system had us down as two adults, but our booking included a child via trip.com-note to trip.com: check your platform and the kind of information it sends to hotels’ systems please! Anyway, the only problem caused by that was that the sofa bed was not made up as a bed, but they came upstairs and made it with my help. The room we stayed in was small; there’s no denying it. However, we did not need anything big, as we were out all day. Also, it was very clean and tidy! It was warm when we got there and we dialled the temperature down ourselves, which is always a plus. Moreover, there was a little kids’ corner on the ground floor with various plush animals, cards, etc. for the little ones. My daughter and I spent some time playing there. On the basement, there was a guest kitchen in case anyone wanted to microwave anything and eat it there, and there were also two washing machines and two tumble dryers, which I made use of; very efficient and economical! The staff were polite and professional, but In would have liked them to smile more! Overall, a very nice stay, a decent room to stay in and an overall enjoyable experience.

Check in done by two very professional and pleasant gentleman which is a great start. We had questions regarding traffic arrangements to Hallstatt and they were very helpful. Overall a great stay though we need to take bus to get to most of the places but the bus stop is just around the corner

It was a really nice, clean hotel with a good price, especially regarding other hotels in Salzburg. Location is a bit out of the center, but the connections with bus are really good (bus stands near the hotel and goes every 20 minutes or so, you need around 15 to 20 minutes to get to the center). Hotel even provides you a free bus card for the entirety of your stay. There is also Billa shop just opposite of hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice. The only thing we wondered were if there is A/C in the room for summer. Our room was overlooking the busy street with lots of cars, but the windows were really soundproof, so we had no trouble sleeping.

Thank you to the receptionist for the warm, reassuring welcome in Salzburg 🤍 After a long journey, it felt great to be greeted with such friendly, confident service. I instantly felt at ease — love the nature-themed decor too! The hotel is super convenient: 3-min walk to the train station and lots of nearby food options. Major attractions are walkable. The room is clean and cozy, with YouTube and Netflix. No phone, kettle, fridge, (I think no utensils too if I rmb correctly) in the room, but reception is always happy to help. The window opens for ventilation. If you need room cleaning, remember to inform reception a day in advance.

I booked an “executive” room at a rate above the already high standard price, largely because the listing photos showed a spacious bathroom with a bathtub. In reality, the only “executive” feature seemed to be that it was located on the 6th floor. Access to the executive lounge was not included and required an extra fee — and from what I saw when peeking inside, it certainly didn’t seem worth paying for. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was shockingly small, with a shower stall easily under 1m². As a petite Asian woman, I still found it uncomfortably cramped and awkward, especially when washing my hair. The space looked nothing like the listing photos, which feels misleading. I regret not raising this with reception immediately, but the more I used the room, the more dissatisfied I became. Misrepresentation in promotional images is simply unacceptable, and I will be attaching comparison photos to show the difference. The room itself also fell short in comfort. The pillows were so thin that they flattened to bed level the moment you lay on them — we had to fold them in half just for the extra height for support. Amenities were extremely basic and in no way justified the high room rate. This was my first time staying at a Wyndham property, and I sincerely hope this is not reflective of the brand’s overall standards. The only plus point of this hotel like other properties at the area is that it’s near the main train station and transportation. Service at check in was also very helpful with the nice lady taking time giving directions with a map.

Booked a bit late so didn't really have many choices in Salzburg. But I was surprised by the service and cleanliness of the room. I messaged the hotel directly to ask for direction from the station and was told to take Obus No 2. It was easy to get there with the pre-arrange Salzburg Mobility Card. Location wise it is not near to the station of Ler the main area. But it is ok since there is couple of supermarkets nearby (Billa, EuroSpar and Aekshea - Asian mart). The bottled water is only 1 per stay. Free flow of tap water is highly recommended.
