Wir waren überaus zufrieden mit dem Exe Wellington! Tolle, zentrale Lage in der Altstadt, nah am Meer, diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Die Zimmer waren modernisiert, die Betten bequem und das I-Tüpfelchen ist das große moderne Badezimmer. Exquisit war auch das Frühstück mit allem, was das Herz begehrt! Wir würden jederzeit nochmal dort übernachten.

Hotel bem situado, quarto razoável, limpo, não gostámos da piscina e do jacuzzi, ambos com pouca qualidade e a água parecia pouco limpa, a sauna é razoável. Hotel exige caução de 10€por cada robe, um dos robes fornecido estava roto e sem presilhas para o cinto, para um hotel de 4 estrelas acho que não devia de acontecer, foi trocado após reclamação. O pequeno almoço é bom com bastante variedade de alimentos. Acho que podiam promover mais os produtos locais. .

The hotel was centrally located but is not a 4* property.    I would suggest it’s a basic 3* in terms of decor, bathrooms etc.  Rooms are a decent size, Bed is comfy, shower was hot with good pressure and towels were good.  Breakfast options are limited

Чисто, комфортно и просторно. Есть общая кухня со всей техникой. Во всех деталях чувствуется забота к гостям. В номере была вода, мини-бутылочки с портвейном, в холодильнике охлаждённое вино, соки, молоко, фрукты.

Pontos fortes. -local aprazível para descansar e no meio da natureza. -Serviço  irrepreensível, pessoas muito simpáticas. -Pequeno almoço fabuloso. - Boa Relação preço/qualidade no restaurante.  - Quarto: 1-Muito asseado; 2- Bom colchão ; 3- Adorei a casa de banho; 4- Decoração minimalista? mas boa para mim. Ponto fraco: -O quarto podia ser maior; -podia ter um pequeno sofá. Pena que não podia ficar mais tempo.  Normalmente quando estou hospedado num hotel só uso para dormir e aproveitar para passear. Mas este apetece ficar e usufruir os serviços do hotel.

A superb historic property under private management and ownership - actually, in the ownership of the same family for over 400 years altho’ now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels marketing system affiliated with Hilton. The property in its adjoining Gardens are a destination in themselves, along with the nearby (400m) Santa Clara monastery. They may be sufficient for some visitors, but it’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Coimbra and it’s main historical area. Arthur Wellesley - aka Viscount Wellington - was a visitor during his Iberian campaign, so you’re in good company.  Staff are superb and obviously hand picked by the owner. The receptionist when I arrived (Evening of Sunday 16 February) was simply the best I’ve ever experienced, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo included.  Genuinely fascinating to talk to about the history of the building and some of the previous guests (famous but  ‘passed’ celebrities so no confidence is breached).  Best to stay in the rooms in the main building if possible, if tales of the previous occupant intrigue. Although the spa Is impressive – up to best Thai standards - and I guess the adjoining spa rooms may be equally good. Overall, an absolute gem that far exceeded expectations.

I stayed in a single room at ibis Coimbra Centro and had a pleasant experience overall. I was especially happy that the hotel fulfilled my request for a king bed. The room itself is compact but well laid out, just the right size for a solo traveler. One issue I did notice was that the room stayed quite warm, even with the temperature dial set to 15°C and the air conditioning on high. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it’s something to be aware of. The toilet was spotless, and I really liked the wooden floors and the modern shower area. I opted for breakfast during my stay and was pleasantly surprised by the variety available. There were enough options to enjoy something different each morning, and I always left the table full and satisfied. Thank you ibis Coimbra Centro for hosting me!

Ambiente tranquilo, quartos espaçosos, camas confortáveis, vista deslumbrante para o rio Mondego. Varanda panorâmica fantástica. O spa é perfeito para uma escapadinha com jacuzzi, sauna e banho turco. A piscina exterior tem bastante sol e a água limpa e agradável. Pode passear pela propriedade até ao rio passando pelo pequeno bosque envolvente. O pequeno almoço é muito bom e servido no restaurante panorâmico. O jantar é simplesmente suberbo em sabor e apresentação, sendo as quantidades generosas. O Chef é fantástico! As sobremesas Top! A voltar muitas vezes!!! Super romântico.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights from August 3 to August 5, 2025. First of all, the hotel’s location is excellent—it’s near the square, making it very convenient to reach all the attractions. My room faced the river, offering a beautiful view of the Rio Mondego. This is an established hotel, and although the furniture is somewhat old, but everything is very clean, which didn’t affect my stay at all. The hotel staff are very warm and hospitable. The breakfast is a standard European-style buffet, providing enough nutrition to fuel a day of exploring. Most notably, I was initially concerned about the WiFi strength, but after recent improvements, it’s even better than what I have at home—upload and download speeds both exceed 300 Mbps, which was a pleasant surprise. To sum it up, I found my room to be great value for money, more memorable and impressive than many four or five-star hotels.
