I booked a king-size bed for me and my daughter. The room was very big (huge huge size) and had two large air conditioners. There was also a big sofa, a table, and chairs in the room, which made it very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and I really liked the shower because it had different water settings you could change. Every day they give two welcome drinks, and you can choose alcohol, tea, coffee, or juice. The hotel also has a kids’ play area, a gym, and a yoga room. They provide filtered water, so you can refill your bottle anytime. We ordered the smoked duck pasta and nasi lemak. The nasi lemak was really delicious. This hotel is so closed to the airport. I really loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

Hotel offers a comfortable and pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby malls Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited, but it is still satisfactory. The room soundproofing could be improved, as conversations from outside can occasionally be heard. Overall, it’s a good choice for travelers looking for an affordable stay.

I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️

Ideal convenient locations to famous foodie places. Opposite has clinic with a young lovely lady doc with good service & treatment. Nearby also has very good, clean reasonable foot reflexology shop. The 3 rooms which we booked have issues like air-con, wooden panel fallen off n caused glasses drop & broke, etc. However, the staff especially the afternoon shift lady which i think her name Vashim was super calm, patient and give us excellent services to settle all issues. The morning shift staff are all also very friendly and very helpful. 👍👍👍. If you want to book, be prepare to accept some inconvenience due to hotel a bit old but trust the staff are always there to assist you. If possible, owner of hotel can consider do some upgrade to attract guests as there are some more new hotels nearby newly opened and prices are very competitive. Overall, we have a great time staying in this hotel and enjoyed our trip. Thank you very much.

This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!

Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. Had a pleasant one-night stay at St Giles Wembley Penang. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Great location near George Town attractions, and the staff were friendly. Overall, a convenient and worthwhile stay.

everything is ok.. the breakfast food is delicious while eating you can see the sea.. the view is beautiful.. the location is good.. the beach is close to the hotel.. only the cleanliness is a little lacking in the room.. the bed sheet is dirty but a little.. the worst thing is the smell of the pillow is a bit less pleasant.. hope the hotel can make improvements

Location : This location is very superb. The seaview was astonishing. Food stalls are everywhere nearby. Services : Arrived late night to check in. The receptionist is not that helpful and not explaining much. Got some issues with breakfast where my room suddenly not breakfast included while we paid together for it when booking. Try to explain to the Indian F&B manager but at first he refuse to trust me and ask me to go to lobby. Thanks to Mr Vincent he sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding from the system. To the Indian F&B manager, you need to learn to apologise sincerely from Mr Vincent and learn some manners as I heard you talk bad about other customers as well. Food : Not much choice but the food was good. Overall, will be coming back in the future and I wish the services will be a lot better. TQ

First time going to Penang, loved the location of the hotel. Amazing view of the beach from our room, and saw fireworks one night was a treat. They keep the beach clean for the property, each day saw it being cleared. The pool is a good refreshing temperature. Majority of the time isn't overly busy. Good depth and size of pool. I enjoyed swimming laps each day and relaxing on the sunloungers. Kept clean, fresh towels available. Good pool toys for the kids. The gym was amazing, good equipment and machines- beautiful view of the ocean. I would prefer the air con colder as the one in there didnt cool the room down enough and if wasn't standing near it, it got very hot. The water provided in there also isn't cold which i didnt like ( is in a machine that says keeping warm, which i dont understand shouldn't drink warm water when working out, don't know if it's a culture thing? Wasn't to my liking anyway) The room is spacious, bathroom bit tight but made do. Nice amenities topped up daily. Bed comfortable. Air con in room works amazing. Cleanliness in room noticed could've been better as after room being 'cleaned' noticed my hair still on floor and sand in corner from shoes. So seems the floor doesn't get swept or mopped as much as we thought. Buffet breakfast was great, yummy food and lots of everything. Plenty of staff i just think they need to be more attentive and watch the buffet e.g kids touching food ( saw few things) and make sure the food is safe for other guests to eat. We ate at the hotel lunch and dinner also, the staff mean well but there is a language barrier and was few instances where our meals didn't come out correct like we got a tomato soup when we pointed and said on the menu tomato pasta. We are patient enjoyed the food and kept going back despite the mistakes. We understand a second language can be difficult. Amazing fresh cakes in fridge we just about tried them all. The staff also did a lovely birthday song and candles on cake my husband brought. Overall had a lovely time.
