This was my first time in the Maldives, and I chose this resort. Surprisingly, it had been raining heavily for several days before we arrived, but the weather turned exceptionally nice right when we got there—sunny every day. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly; they would always stop to greet us whenever we passed by. The young hostess (likely the restaurant manager) and some servers in the dining room remembered our room number. The shuttle cart staff (not sure if his name was Jasper), Raj from housekeeping (who’s from Nepal), and our host Mariyam were all wonderful—they kept asking if there was anything they could do to help. The Filipino staff member who performed the fire show, as well as the teams at the sports center and water activities, were also incredibly kind and professional.
Meals were included in the package, while water sports required extra payment. The spa was excellent: two Indonesian ladies gave my husband and me massages, and the ambiance and service were very comfortable.
Overall, it was a highly satisfying experience, with the exception of one significant issue on our departure day. During the final breakfast, the fish curry served was noticeably off—it had a strong, unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, after taking just one bite, it led to severe food poisoning. I became violently ill on the flight, vomiting repeatedly, and the sickness persisted hourly even after landing. This incident greatly marred the end of our otherwise wonderful stay. I sincerely hope you can address and improve your food safety and hygiene standards to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.
Absolutely amazing stay with small budget. The facilities very new, location is very close to the jetty. We can enjoy the amazing view of boats, parasailing and water activities from the hotel balcony. The staffs are very nice and we had nice breakfast as well. Highly recommended.
The island is beatiful and the resort is pretty much everything you should want. Rooms were spacious, and well equipped. The service and the staff is very good and friendly too. The only thing maybe worth mentioning is that there only one restaurant where you can eat when you do all inclusive/full board (Sea Breeze) which can get quite hot as it’s not a closed area, meaning no aircon. The remaining 3 restaurants are not included and are charged separately.
Our stay at this hotel was marred by a series of unfortunate experiences, starting from the moment we arrived. We were wrongly informed at check-in that our room had not been paid for, despite having completed full payment in advance. Rather than verifying the system, the staff member sat by as I anxiously searched my phone for proof. Ultimately, I had to show my credit card statement — something I consider private — just to resolve the matter. Her attitude was unwelcoming, which is especially disappointing in a hospitality setting. After discovering the payment had indeed been made, she gave only a brief and indifferent apology. Following this, my husband contacted the Manager, who offered a complimentary buffet dinner for two as an apology. While we appreciated the gesture, it was overshadowed by another issue: we later received a letter requesting us to check out by 7 a.m. the next day, even though our original arrangement was for a noon departure. After another call to the Manager, he once again apologised and offered a spa session for one person. Though his crisis management was swift, these issues should not have occurred — especially given the premium price we paid for our stay.
That said, there were redeeming aspects. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. The room opened directly onto the beach — it felt as though we had arrived at the sea the moment we opened our door. The room was also clean and well-maintained and we appreciated the convenience of having a coffee machine available.
In summary, while the scenery and room amenities were wonderful, the service and communication left much to be desired. We hope the management addresses these shortcomings so that future guests can enjoy a truly seamless stay.

Невероятно красивый , зеленый и аутентичный остров. Без лишней выхолощености и новостроя. Будто на необитаемом острове. Но при этом чистота, правильно подчеркнуты детали в виде освещения и тд. Природа не тронутая руками человека.
Океан невероятной красоты. Бирюзовая вода уходит от берега на десятки метров (Но не забывайте брать с собой обувь для купания)
Очень дружелюбный и отзывчивый персонал . Просить ничего не надо, сами все предлагают. Полотенца меняют 2 раза в день, постоянно интересуются нужно ли что то , вода , кофе и тд. Сервис настолько хороший, что в отелях куда выше категории такого зачастую нет.
Завтраки шикарные, есть все что необходимо. Выпечка, хашбраун, готовят омлеты , яйца, вафли, блинчики. Всегда большой выбор фруктов - арбуз, папайя , 2 вида дынь , ананасы , маракуйя , бананы , апельсины . Завтрак наполнен от и до.
С ужинами чуть похуже, но это лично для меня , я не очень люблю когда все в соусах, но всегда можно найти что поесть.
У товарища был день рождения, за ужином нам дали отдельный украшенный стол, поздравили всем персоналом, торт со свечами. И пока мы были заняты ужином, наш номер украсили поздравлениями. Понравилось что так продумали и скоординировали действия.
Так же нам бесплатно повысили уровень номера до водной виллы. 4 дня мы жили в бунгало на пляже в 301 номере , и 3 дня на водной вилле под номером 506 . Для вилл есть отдельный ресторан , который мы тоже могли посещать и посещали. Это было очень приятно. Спасибо. Наш отдых был незабываемый и мы обязательно вернемся.

Отдыхала 7 дней, очень уютно, 2-х этажное небольшое здание с верандой для завтрака. Ребята молодцы, вовсю стараются угодить, завтрак предлагают на выбор: тосты, яичница с тунцом и сосиской, либо мальдивский завтрак. Я чаще выбирала мальдивский, это лепшки, кокос с тунцом, фасоль в соусе. Кофе или сок. Смело можете списываться с директором Иту, он поможет во всем , очень добрый и отзывчивый молодой человек. Если вы хотите сьэкономить немного по сравнению с другими отелями острова, то смело выбирайте этот гостевой дом, прекрасная локация, близко к глубокому пляжу, тишина и спокойствие, точно останетесь довольны. По запросу предлстааляют лежак и зонт на пляж. Вода включена 1,5 литра на человека. Кровати удобные, белье белоснежное и мягкое. Мебель новая.

This was a cool experience, always wanted to try water villa.
The island looks great, it’s connected with two others and brings you more wonderful views. There are lots of water villas there and that’s why it looks even better.
Villa is big enough for two persons, got two bathes, one of them outside, it looks beautiful at sunrise.
There was a low tide at night and a little island appeared nearby, we took a lil walk there. Then water came up again and we saw little sharks and even stingrays around.
Transfer was kinda expensive, 250$ one way with 50% discount and also we expected a golf car to take us to reception on checkout, but in vain. (I had a huge sunburn before)
We went to another resort, but regretted about it. For now it was a best stay on Maldives for us.
Oh! There’s a YouTube on TV in villa, it was really important for us.

- Great accommodation: I stayed in an overwater villa, spacious and bright with a tropical wooden design. Big floor-to-ceiling windows offer sea views right from bed. The private terrace has a ladder to the sea—so convenient for a swim!
- Delicious food: Multiple restaurants with global dishes. The main restaurant’s buffet has fresh, juicy seafood; local curry chicken is flavorful; Italian pasta is authentic and tasty.
- Fun activities: Snorkeling lets you see colorful fish and coral. Try surfing for excitement or fishing for relaxation. The spa is perfect for unwinding.
- Fantastic service: Staff were warm from check-in, helped with luggage, and answered questions quickly. They even remembered my favorite drink—felt like home!

The room we got was an over the water villa with a pool and I think we got it at a great value especially at the beginning of peak season according to the staff. The room was a bit dusty though. The breakfast is ok. We upgraded to all-inclusive on our last day to enjoy their Breeze beach club. Also amazing. The Fire door dinner is a must. It's an experience. The food and the staff there were really amazing. Took the whole experience to another level. On our last day though, we were rushed to check out at 10am despite telling us checkout is at 12 originally. That's a bit disappointing.
AAnnalisaKFrom start to finish our experience at the Oblu Sangeli was incredible. It was our first time visiting the Maldives and it was everything we could have wished for and more. We stayed in the water villa and it did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and the access to the lagoon was amazing. It was great for snorkelling and had plenty of corals where we saw baby sharks, manta rays and lots of colourful fish! We embarked on the turtle snorkelling trip and saw many turtles which was wonderful!
The buffet was great and we appreciated that they changed the dishes every day so you had a variety to choose from. A huge thanks to Chef Rahul who not only made excellent Indian food for us, but also became a good friend and was always so kind to us. Another big thanks to the waiter, Yathrib, who was so friendly and attentive to us and gave excellent service. This really made our experience even better. We also really enjoyed the fine dining experiences included in the Serenity plan. Both restaurants (just grill & just wok) served delicious food and a nice view of the sunset. A highlight for us was the pool as it was right next to the ocean and the view was incredible. We loved the slide leading into the ocean, that was a vey unique touch for the hotel and lots of fun at the pool party too and recommend you throw a pool party a couple times a week as it was great!
We really enjoyed the live entertainment in the evenings and especially loved listening to Dee & Jay singing so beautifully!
A highlight for us was definitely the excellent service from the staff. From the first day we could see that they were genuinely nice people and took pride in their job. A special shout out to the Sangs bar staff who were always kind and friendly to us. They made our experience better by just being genuinely nice people and their service was excellent! A big thanks to Pradeep and Lahiru who lead the team and always greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home. A huge thanks to Ibrahim and Madheeh who made us laugh everyday and gave brilliant service. You made our experience even better by just meeting you all. We will definitely return to the hotel in the future as it was the best holiday we've ever had! The Maldives is really paradise on earth! Now, let's dive into the details. The resort is conveniently located just a 20-25 minute speedboat ride from Male airport. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the island is small enough to walk around in 15-20 minutes.
We stayed in a beach villa with a private pool and half-board. The pool was shaded by palm trees during the hottest parts of the day, and the beach was simply perfect. The online photos might appear a bit dated, but the reality is much better. Our dedicated butler, Reema, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our babymoon special with hot baths, flower arrangements, and private celebrations. She took excellent care of us throughout our stay.
The resort features three restaurants and a charming bar. The food at Lime, the main restaurant, was exceptional—everything we tried was delicious. Although the breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, it was complemented by an à la carte menu that offered a variety of tasty options. Lala made our dinners extra special with his food recommendations and attentiveness to our preferences.
Overall, our entire trip was a success, and the Baros team truly made it memorable.
Things to know:
- Transfers are chargeable by the hotel. Ensure you inform them of your arrival flight 2 days in advance and get confirmation on your transfer.
- The hotel is very relaxed and private, making it ideal for newlyweds, honeymooners, and families with older children.

Rajan our house attendant was a particular highlight, he always had a big smile on his face and went above and beyond to make our stay special and really succeeded, if you read this Rajan, thank you very much for your excellent hospitality, you made our stay very enjoyable!
Only feedback I would give is to reduce the number of notifications sent by the app, it was a bit excessive. Also, due to the sky high prices of even simple activities, we opted to gave all of them a pass. A night snorkeling excursion asking for something like USD90 and then also charging USD15 for torch rental feels a little silly. You cannot go night snorkeling without a torch.
Otherwise, we were really happy with the stay.
