Love this hotel very much. Except the breathtaking view is true to the pictures online, also the attentive service from the reception and housekeeping. Dinner at the hotel is suggested reserving first(they sent email to remind me to do so) and the food and the waitress is nice. They also have a snack bar and swimsuits for purchase.
The room design and color tone is really relaxing and functional. The hot tubs outside is so good not only for photos but also for soothing and relaxing the body.
Recommend for staying 1-2 nights here during the whole trip.

Very interesting experience staying here. Sharing the dorm with 8 other people. Very crowded with everyone bringing huge luggage bag. But other than that, all amenities are good and the vibe is very nice too

This is a wonderful hotel quite literally in the middle of Southeastern Ring Road between Vik and Glacier Lagoon. The hotel is comfortable and clean.
The staff was fantastic and helpful.
Do not miss the restaurant on site -it is surprisingly gourmet for such a rural location.
There is a beautiful waterfall right on property -go through the gate to the right for a short walk to see the full falls.

A good and nice hotel. The main con is that no hanging rack or cupboard provided for cloths hanging. A very simply but nice room. Not far from major attraction and restaurants. Recommended.

An excellent stay. My second time. I was welcomed back like royalty. The staff were very friendly; and went above and beyond to make our stay better. The restaurant and spa were also a welcome treat! Much appreciated.

The front desk was super nice and helpful for heating up the food for us even it wasn’t his job. The view from the room was amazing and I like the shampoo they provided! Totally enjoyed during the stay

Overall stay was ok, the service was not bad as we had issues with the aircon and the staff tried to help but at the end could not solve it. He gave us another room but the issue persists. It was really hot the whole night but the room and toilet was clean. The room is not that big but just good for one night stay, super near Gare du Nord.

Unfortunately we booked this place to use the hot tubs and when we arrived they weren’t filled. I called reception twice to have someone check out the issue but nobody ever came. It was really unfortunate since we had gotten caught in the wind and rain so our bones felt frozen. I decided to have a bath instead but the tub couldn’t hold water haha it was a series of unfortunate events.

- Breakfast was very good!
- Room and bed was warm.
- hot water shower works almost instantly.
- Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV.
Can be improved:
- toilet slide door emited loud screeching sound which was annoying.
- poor sound isolation between floors, we stayed on the ground floor and we could hear stomping the whole night. We feedback this to the hotel staff but was just given a “I cannot do anything about it” face and a shoulder shrug which clearly indicated they did not have the intention to do anything about it.
- phone in the room was not working, staff had to reboot it as they said it’s a common issue.
- the air vent in the bathroom stopped moving after sometime, was told to turn it off and on again to make it work again.
- we checked in the same time as another couple at the reception, we overheard that they got a complementary room upgrade from the standard room (same as us). We asked if we would be upgraded as well, staff just told us that it depends on the amount we paid for the room. But clearly we booked the same standard room?
Overall:
Room rate was on the high side and much was expected but the condition of the room and service were under delivered.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe room was not soundproof at all, and I could clearly hear noise throughout the night. The entire room felt damp, especially the bedding. The blanket was noticeably moist, which caused me to have an allergic reaction. My skin became extremely itchy, and I barely got any sleep the whole night.
This was a very uncomfortable experience, and I was extremely disappointed. I will definitely not stay here again.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe outside pictures of the property do not match the reality. Across from you is a camping site and multiple hotels which if you open your curtains can look directly into your room. You also don’t get the whole house, just the half which is super inconvenient and again people look inside of your room. The bathroom was nice, a bit small but had all amenities. The check in was through an app that we couldn’t access so we had to go to the hotel to check in, which is super close so it was okay. The room was super hot and the window didn’t open so we needed to keep the front door open which due to the aforementioned reasons wasn’t comfortable. It is super close to all the shops as the city is very small and the hotel is right off the main road.

As usual like other hotels in Iceland, you should take a ride to get here.
The hotel room was big enough and there were 3 beds in the room although I'm staying by myself.
I love the way how the room is formed. I had two doors, one led me to the yard side and the other one faced the other rooms as well as the reception.
IDK this is the general rule but the shower pressure was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to take a shower.
Speaking of the Hot tub, it was pretty small and adorable. But if you have plans to visit either Blue Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, You'd better skip this Hot tub.

LLet anWe stayed in this cabin for a one night and were very impressed by how comfortable and well equipped it was. The kitchenette had a microwave and a kettle to prepare simple meals, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The floor heating created a cozy atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the sea, where the fresh air and views are breathtaking. One of the highlights was the many sheep grazing nearby, which gave the area a peaceful, countryside charm. It’s an ideal place to relax and recharge, highly recommended!
No WiFi in the cabin available but in the lounge in the building nearby

LLivoryGreat place as a rest stop near kirkjubaer. We used Hotel Laki is a base for 3D2N. Nice view from room, service staff spoke english very well. Breakfast was basic and sufficient, eggs, vegetables, cold cuts and cereal with various sauces. Bread toasting station. Id say the machine coffee (espresso based) was one of the best machine made ones we had in Iceland. Nice view from restaurant and bar as well. My room was missed for cleaning but its fine not much had to be done anyway. Plenty of room and bathroom space. Welcomed by a lovely border collie in the compound. Bar opens late till 11

AAnonyymi käyttäjäThe room was not so good as we expected, being sparsely decorated. The interior outside rooms looked a bit cheap, contrary to its intention. However, breakfast was really nice. There was a wide variety of dishes and Icelandic choices. We saw northern lights near the hotels.
