Friendly service; clean room and bathroom. Nothing wrong with it really except that I was expecting a HOTEL based on the pictures and certainly the price! The location is great but be aware that this an INN with rooms attached at the back. Breakfast not included (costs £15 extra). Location great right in front of the cathedral but no parking. A good, comfortable stay but overpriced fro what it was and the time of year (mid-October).

I love Charlton house, it was really quirky. The way it has been styled is really unusual. It makes you feel like you're in a bit of a fantasy world with the little corridors and quirky little nooks and crannies. For me it fit the bill, it did the job that I needed but I understand for those people that do not get it on an offer and pay a lot of money to stay there I understand how they might say that it's a bit dirty a bit tired a bit grubby and needs a bit of TLC. There seemed to be one very sweet man that was running around doing pretty much everything and the rest of the staff were hidden behind doors or just not there. I'm not sure. There were staff present in the spa and they were lovely and helpful and kind. My little room was gorgeous and cute and cozy, and clean enough although tatty in places. For me I really had a nice day and I would definitely come back. The breakfast was extremely basic but I didn't have extremely high expectations, and I'm not really a breakfast person, so again it may not make the tick box for others but it did the job for me. Good view and good vibe nearby. Chill and nature, bus stop at entrance, convenient! Slient and safe at night. Good to stay with family or friends! Pantry is 24hr open for cook or chill.

I have stayed in 100s of Hotels. I now try to avoid the chrome & glass gin palace type. I use budget hotels for a one night stay. However this was a 5 day break to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. The Hotel was wonderful, historic building but maintained well. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. A lovely cooked to order breakfast and the evening meal was cooked to perfection and our waiting staff were better than most restaurants. The room was perfect, cleaned when we required and the location is perfect. There is a bus to town every 15mins which is just 3 stops away. If you are visiting Bath this is the best hotel to stay in.

The rooms were spacious and well-lit, with a simple yet elegant decor. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep without any disturbances. The hotel offered a wide range of amenities, from a fitness center to a swimming pool, from dining options to meeting rooms, all reflecting the hotel's high standards.

This is my first hotel booking with Trip and I must say I was skeptical at first whether it would go through. Thankfully, the hotel did receive the confirmation. Just needed to tell the receptionist your surname and they’ll be able to locate you in their system. We were passed complimentary cookies, which were really yummy. The bed in the double room was smaller than expected but it was still good enough for two adults. The rooms are not very soundproof so you can hear the outside cars if you’re on the side facing the city. But if you’re not overly sensitive, the sounds are acceptable. The 24/7 gym was fairly well-equipped for the space capacity. They had gym towels, sanitary wipes, and water refiller. The hotel breakfast was enjoyable as well. The restaurant had a good view. Overall, the stay was a really good deal! Would use Trip.com again.

Kaunis vanha paikka täynnä viehätys ja luonne. Ruoka ja aamiainen olivat erinomaisia. Pysynyt kaksi yötä oyr Whippet, Dennis. Palvelu oli hyvä. Huonemme oli pieni, väsynyt, mutta puhdas ja tarvitsi päivitystä. Absolute nowhere to hang clothes. Vain pari vanhaa kaapelijät, jotka jätettiin vahingossa jälkeen kaupasta, ja kaksi seinä asennettu takki hankittu. Ainoa kaksinkertainen sokki huoneessa voitaisiin muuttaa sisällyttämään USB sokki ja tuoda se 21. vuosisadalle. Wifi signaali oli hyvä. Jos auton pysäköinti oli täynnä, noin 6 autoa, sitten kääntää päin tuulitie ei ollut heikko sydän, varsinkin pimeässä. Kaikki yhteensä, miellyttävä.

Only stayed for one night on a round trip on the coast but was a lovely place. Staff were friendly and the food was great. Would definitely go again and would recommend to anyone.
