Me and my partner had a fab time here a wee confusion with the room when we checked in but receptionist solved it like a pro.
Great for Outdoor or just a relaxing time away. We had breakfast included and we loved all the Scottish selections. Would recommend for couples especially.

This was our third stay at Stonefield castle. It is a beautiful building with a nice bit of history. The grounds are extensive with scenic views and wonderful walks. The staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. There were many lounge rooms and a well stocked bar. It is a handy place for a short stay near Tarbert if you are touring the Loch Fyne area. We shall return.

Very Disappointing Stay
I booked this stay after seeing it recommended on TikTok, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. It also wasn’t in the centre of town, which made getting around less convenient than expected. The mattress was so soft it felt like I was being swallowed by it, making it really uncomfortable to sleep. The room itself was extremely hot — even after turning off the radiator it was still warm, and the only way to cool it down was by opening the window. That would’ve been fine, except the noise from the spa pumps ran all night and made it difficult to rest. We must have been given an older room because it looked nothing like the pictures we saw on TikTok.
Parking was valet-only and cost £25, which felt excessive. On a positive note, the room was clean, but it was also quite small and definitely in need of an update.
Overall, not the relaxing experience I was hoping for.

Everthing was fine until I checked out in the morning, when the receptionist, told me I had an outstanding payment of £28 to pay, due to the fact that my card had been declined. I pointed out that payment was made to trip.com, using my debit card over a month ago, and that the payment had been taken from my bank. The receptionist then called the manager, who informed me that the hotel had not received payment, because my payment card had been declined, luckily I had the receipt, which was clearly marked as paid. I also said that my card could not have been declined, as payment had been debited from my bank account, they then said they woud look in to the situation, as trip.com had not paid them.
The whole situation was very disturbing, and therefore I will not be using trip.com again

We had a sea view room which had a great view, but the windows were so dirty and cobwebs in the corners that it actually spoiled that for us. The staff and service they provided was excellent, but however I expected a wider variety of meals but the menu was very limited. It was nice to sit at the tables provided outside when having drinks, but again the metal railings at the tables had a lot of chipped and flaked paint and made the hotel look rather run down. The dining rooms and all the seating areas with lovely leather chairs was very nice on the ground floor, but moving up the stairs there was black tape holding the red tartan carpet together, our room actually had small nails holding the wallpaper on the walls. It all looked great online ,but close up it was rather tired.

We booked 2 rooms 1 night last minute booking. I got Junior suite for me & my husband. Room is very spacious for UK standard, sea view is very beautiful Seaview. The hotel has lift thats very good for travelers with many luggages.The room is a little cold so we switched on spare small heater which is warm enough. Their specialist amenities are very good. Whisky Honey. Oh.our room door isn't working, that's pretty scary.

フェリー乗り場からも鉄道駅からも近く、街にも歩いて行ける範囲なのでとても便利でした。
洗面台が狭すぎて顔も洗えないのは唯一の難点ですが、部屋は清潔でぐっすり眠れました。
部屋に紅茶もコーヒーもミルクも置いてあったので、色々飲めて良かったです。

What stands out from all the similar properties is really really really good bed (double bed turned out to more of a superking), nice size tv (50+ inch), sockets with USB are a bonus. interior design is subjective to taste but its not my priority at this price. I guess one can highlight fresh furniture.
Bathroom: Clean shower, standard number of towels and shower mat, hair drier, heated towel rack, shampoo/soap/body lotion and soap bar.
Waiting staff was very nice and helpful.
Breakfast: the breakfast is usual full Scottish breakfast variety buffet, (fried eggs, black pudding, hashbrowns, scones, sausages, bacon, beans) with plenty condiments available as well as 3 types of toast, couple of cheeses and hams, fruit salad, yoghurts, various sweet pastries. Full set of teas, jams honeys etc, but coffee could be a little better, but again cannot complaint at price.
The hotel it is definitely underrated. While some things around hotel are a little flimzy, dusty, it is very decent value. it all fades away when you realise how nice it is to have a fresh large bed and that it is basically minutes away from ferry terminal. Great views are come as a big bonus.
Note for parking: very limited, but you can park at council carpark not far away at reasonable cost.

ZZambeziHotel is a little tricky to find despite the signs on the main road. Up the driveway, I found myself facing a farm and a private home. There is one sign pointing left off to a garden, no mention of the hotel. It turns out you must follow that road. Anyway, the view of the lake is lovely. We arrived quite late, about 9pm. I think the kitchen was closed but they managed to make some soup and sandwiches for us. We followed this with one drink just before the bar closed. We tried to drink outside at the lakeside but the insects forced us back in! Nice room, good value for money (100 pounds) despite the ageing decor. In the morning we ate the cooked breakfast and checked out. This is when I got hit for an additional 75 pounds for the food and drink, almost doubling my bill. It's a nice place but think twice before you think you've got a bargain.

VVieraskäyttäjäLoch long Hotel could be a lot cleaner. However, what really spoiled my stay was UK.trip.com. After I .ade the booking trip.com announced that the booking could not be varied. Then a couple of days before the due date, another anouncement about a £50 up front payment.
Trip.com left a sour taste in my mouth

The moment we went in, it is really cozy & we were greeted by very warming in house manager & booked dinner table as well. We enjoyed their breakfast and as well as dinner, very good quality. Our concern is this hotel doesn't have lift.

VVieraskäyttäjäPerfect location close to rail station.Lots of positive points, however hotel was dated in parts, room carpet flooring was unstable so had to exercise caution not to trip and cause injury. Reception staff member Jamie pleasant and most helpful, so was Nicola over the phone the night before check-in. Food could be improved, with a better variety at breakfast, and providing fresh fruit.
Room allocated was not what I expected. Would stay again if better room allocated.
